‘Draft Qb. Panthers can own the South’ Dan O.
Davidson Deac II replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
I still love College bball. In fact, I am going to a live game tonight. For me, its on par with the panther games as far as my interest. But I certainly understand dislike towards ESPN. IMO, they have damaged sports in many ways. -

I enjoy college basketball and I sometimes watch college football. So I watch the actual games on ESPN. But I avoid the sports news shows completely. And I rarely go to the website unless its to get some stats. -
Panthers met with Hooker per report

If we do draft him, he needs to sit a year to become fully healed from the injury. Which means we would definitely need to sign a veteran. -

True. Also true of any other player we might draft in the early rounds. -
Robbie Anderson is now Chosen Anderson

He was fired, and is now coaching Nebraska. -
Price to move into top 3 based on past trades.

Most QB selections don't work out. Even top picks fail more often than not. Its a crap shoot, but we probably have to take a shot. -

The problem with that is if we want Stroud or Young, then moving up to 3 might not be enough. If the Bears get a trade partner, then we might be out of luck. -
Or any social media site. Excepting of course the huddle.

Well, I would never say never. Have seen a lot of crazy things in the NFL. I do agree its highly unlikely that the Bears will trade fields, and if they don't, they are in the proverbial cat bird seat. They either get the top pick, or trade back for a decent haul of picks.
-
Would you trade 9 for Fields - straight up?
Davidson Deac II replied to musicman's topic in Carolina Panthers
Bears aren't likely to give up on Fields yet. -
I assume you mean recently. Larranaga has been at Miami a while. IMO, he is one of the better gametime coaches in the ACC. Just doesn't recruit as well as some of the others.
-
Well, obviously the refs, NFL, Illuminati, wanted the Chiefs to win
-
All that running around on second down was stupid, but it didn't matter
-
Very good game so far. Either team could win it
-
Not sure there is enough to overturn

Can't believe anyone would complain about the officiating in this game. Its been very even. The Eagles are just playing better
-
Other than the fumble, Hurts is having a heck of a game
-
In Panthers history, not sure that is true. Fox hung on to Weinke for several years, and Rivera hung on to Clausen for a year or two. I think Corral will get a shot to see what he can do, but I agree the odds are against him. Although in fairness, the odds are against almost any NFL draft pick.
-
I hope Corral gets a legitimate shot during the upcoming season. I mean the odds are not in his favor, but you never know. Could work out. Let him, perhaps another drafted qb, and a veteran battle it out in training camp, and may the best man win.
-
You may be right, but I am not sure we can pay much attention to what happened under Rhule. Virtually every qb that played for Rhule looked better on other teams or for other coaches. Sam Darnold looked better under Wilkes than he ever did under Rhule. Baker Mayfield looked like a completely different in LA than he did under Rhule. Under Rhule, he looked scared, timid, and out of place. In Los Angeles, he looked halfway decent.
-
If you are saying Rhule sucks, well you know I agree with you on that. But CMC saying nice things about his new coach isn't something we should read to much into.

If this trade goes thru, the Saints probably become the division favorite. Their defense is still very good, but the offense was anemic, and had a lot of interceptions given that they didn't throw it as much as most teams. If Carr gets them to just an average passing attack, they become the division favorite.
-
Monsanto is probably the best shooter in the ACC and one of the best in the country. Wish Wake had some better post play to go with the guard play.
-
Yeah, with Carr this year, the Aint's probably win the division if he stays healthy. Carr may not be Pat Mahomes, but he is certainly better than Dalton or Taysom Hill.
