The impressive throw you wanted from Bryce
CPF4LIFE replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
If stroud or Richardson makes that throw nobody is overhyping it like yall did. Theilen got wide open in single coverage against backups and bryce looked him down the whole way. It wasnt a nasty throw, it was a throw a number 1 pick should make with little difficulty. Thats the point. An that was the last play of a underwhelming pre season that got chalked up to "not opening up the playbook". Now here we are. -
They cant hear you in the back. Speak louder.

Listen...the playcalling isnt great but that IS NOT GOING TO FIX this kids issues alone. I could understand if that was the only thing but that doesn't change the fact that he is still either missing guys or just not seeing them when they are open. I counted a couple times he missed theilen or didnt see him the other day. The play circling social media right now where he misses theilen on a double move for a TD is a prime example. Thats been just as consistent as the playcalling, and when you combine that with the careless turnovers you cant put that on frank like you want. Im not trying to defend frank, but dalton playing well on his watch and bryce struggling did not help bryce case. I think the accountability should even out and i stand on that just like i have everything else since the draft. You can keep the delusion up if you want, im not the one here making excuses, throwing blame, and being resentful about things i Said months later. Everything is played out based off my assessments back then so it is what is. You can Do or say what you feel, i will continue to watch the games and see the reality in front of me.

I meant its not surprising, every throw he makes gets overhyped. I noticed it in the pre season, like this should be standard for a number 1 pick. Remember the one stare down TD to theilen in the pre season pretty much put him in the HOF. -
The matt ryan who was old, already washed up, and now in the booth semi retired right now?

Because reich calls plays based off what he know his qb is capable of and the fact he is a rookie.

You could make argument that the hesitation and poor mechanics on the throw ruined the attempt. His feet are not set and the throw is all arm and unbalanced, he got away with this a lot in college with bad mechanicson throws. If he moves over from the pressure plants his feet and throws with more velocity and placement this might be a completion. -
How many of these plays could Bryce make?

I did...my point was that those guys are clearly better and we were talking about LAFELL compared to this current roster. -

Yes to theilen, and You can make a legitimate Case chark is better when healthy. We talking about lafell compared to this current group. I dont know what bringing up 89, 88 and shockey does. Even so, how can you be convinced bryce can get the ball to any of those other guys? If bryce played against Seattle, theilen doesn't go for 145 on 10 catches..... thats my belief. Hell, he missed him again on a couple opportunities in the vikings game. Prove that you can succed with lesser talent before its a given you will against the top talent. All truly great qbs can do this. -
No...but things similarly to this are not surprising lately. Texans had 2 and 3 last draft and it looks to be paying off and a couple teams had 2 picks in the first round. If im the bears i keep them. Getting the 2 top overall players on your roster is a rich that is extremely rare.

Lafell the best receiver on this team right now?? Lol Come on now....stop it. This the over exaggeration that i keep seeing a lot. Lafell was never that guy, if you think route running, speed, and catching is a problem now you shouldnt dare bring up lafells now. Good lord relax lol -
You have a magic wand to fix our biggest problem.

This a tough lol but imma go with taking somewhere other than Bryce. I truly feel like we would be in a better position right now and if the rumors are true Reich didnt want him like that then you gotta take some heat away from him. -

He had Byron bell and a converted DT as his starting OTs at one point. Just for more context Cams rookie year was absolute anomaly no one saw coming. Yes he had weapons around him but Cam made that possible, Olsen was struggling in chicago and hurney got him for a 3rd, smitty was coming off a down year for number of reasons and it was questions if he was still the same guy. Dwill and Stewart were not premiere backs anymore and cam ended up finishing the season second in rushing because the rbs couldnt carry load like that. Shockey was on his way out the league. Offensive line was good not great especially with byron bell starting. Cam did a lot and made that offense better than what it is was projected. Folks need to stop acting like he was carried or something because thats far from it. Trust me i remember that season very well, let's not get it out of context. -

If you really think young is good enough and the rest of the team isnt then you truly are in another reality that cant be reached. -

His arm is weak for nfl standards, i cant think off the top of my head who has a weaker arm in the league now. Its not necessarily about the throwing distance cuz they can all throw it far, its the velocity and release of the throws which is important depending on the type of throw you are trying to make. -

I agree with most of what you said. My issue with the last sentence is that we already gave so much just to get bryce, i dont want to go down path of firing coaches, trading away good players just to make things easier for him cuz i don't think he is worth that yet. He hasn't even shown us a glimpse of superstar capability with what he has currently. You get rid of everything valuable just for him and he still shows inability its just a deeper hole to dig out of. We are not in old times, you dont have to hitch your wagon that long anymore before you cut bait especially if the team is competing. -

From the pre draft till now I just understand what people were seeing, they gotta be bama saban fans or maybe they just like that kid that much personally to where they want him to succeed. I just think as franchise you have to make franchise changes decisions based off more than that. You really gotta convince yourself that the uncoachable flaws aint that big of deal to take this kind of player number 1. I remember analyst saying a lot of teams were glad not to have no. 1 pick because they didnt want this kinda decision. -

Lmaoo.....he probably already setting things in motion -
I said the other day for as much heat as hurney gets its crazy we are having to trade all the good players he drafted when he came back just to improve this team. And fitt is doing a good job of fumbling every chance.
