  1. The main roster guys dealt with that all last season.
  2. I would hope nobody ever gets injured, more specifically i dont want Bryce to get injured because that just prolongs the evaluation or just another excuse why he will be the unquestioned starter when he comes back. I want him to get an opportunity to show undeniably that he is not the guy or he is the guy so that it can be a smooth transition to move away from him when the time comes.
  3. The guy that threw that pass is a tryout for a reason.
  4. A Qb actually throwing a ball with a tight spiral and velocity.
  5. Oh I agree, I'm irritated that all of sudden these media folks now want to tell the truth on bryce and Cj. I am someone thats convinced that the FO made the pick off heavy media influence. Greg Cosell just did a interview with the roar and he pretty much peeled bryce back.
  6. A lot of these vets dont want to deal with the grind of everything a full season brings. They would rather wait and sign to a team that could really use the help.
  7. I think he is competition for Young, the problem is THE STAFF didnt make him competition for Young. We barely saw anything from Dalton from camp threw pre season. They made Dalton the starter after the draft very briefly then all of a sudden we hear Bryce had won the job and it was very weird. The whole process last year was just off along with Tepper telling bryce all the way back to the superbowl we were gonna draft him. Bryce doesnt even visit with any other teams nor does he participate in combine and then there was the whole fiasco with the weight. It was just a lot of coasting all last year around bryce.
  8. Not giving Bryce any competition is just really outstanding to me, for all the talk about how other players on a roster need to be pushed/jobs taken i dont see how a QB is exempt. I dont care where you are drafted. It also installs a comfortability factor in a player that's not needed. Never make a player feel like they dont need to earn anything, its not always good thing.
  9. I get screwing over other teams as win, but for me it will be a true win once the picks actually work out.
  10. They are still going strong on Panthers twitter, although im starting to see a lot of those fans are on the younger side compared to here.
  11. 23 and 24 will always be popular numbers associated with greatness.
  12. I think its frustrating that Bryce technically never had a good game against any team in the division.
  13. I was on here last year before the season started saying Lawrence was overrated and i got called a troll. lol
  14. Exactly. And outside of Cam and steve smith thats typically been panther football.
  15. Bryce has to show a lot but as i just said in the other thread it looks like we are shaping up to be a pound the rock team so dont know how much of a positive that is in bryces evaluation. He will be ask to make plays when needed rather than carry us on offense. There is good and bad to that for me because i really want to see how much you can really put on his back right away. The elite QBs almost never have everything perfect around them so its easier to see that they are elite. All the new weapons will help bryce but can also take him out the equation.
  16. We are definitely trying to be a pound the rock team. The flipside to that is the QB will pretty much be more of a game manager.
  17. Exactly. THis is why i cringe when i hear people say Bryce didnt ask for this situation or people should feel sorry for him. He did everything possible to put himself in this situation. We were sold he was the guy to overcome anything.
  18. Bryce Young was always an outlier to be a success in the NFL and this was already known..the concerns were there. So it shouldnt be surprising to some people that its talks of moving on already after this year if he struggles, the concerns cant be improved on or fixed. Bryce has to show himself he can overcome them.
  19. So what is more important? what he did on the Saints the year before last or how he compares to a ROOKIE who clearly had problems adjusting to the LEAGUE last year on another team and it effecting win/losses? smh And you say im all over the place. Also, i clearly gave explanations for how the seattle game played out. Its rare a qb has to throw the ball 63 times so to think it would have been a theme for the season is ludicrous... the even bigger point is that its not necessarily his fault if he has to do it in the first place like he was calling the plays but for some strange reason you continue to hold that against Dalton as if its all on him and not the guys around him racking up penalties. If he is old terrible as you say it shouldnt matter how bad the defense was he played, he shouldnt have been able to throw for over 300 yds on them with no turnovers. But this is the narratives people pushed all season, why didnt bryce turn around and destroy and even worse defense against a winless vikings the next week? Do i need to layout how dumb this logic is even more?
