  1. KB, Strong*, Ginn, Cotchery, Philly, FA (once the dust settles/cuts are made/late signing)...I could live with that.
  2. Well, judging by some of the answers in this thread I would be wrong, since he didn't play enough. Usually though, it's some combination of what the guy signs for, how much he plays, and what his old team did in FA to replace him. I've seen/been under the impression all offseason that we'd get something for Hardy comp pick wise...but if true about him not playing enough snaps last year, or him signing a short/cheap deal...maybe we won't get anything.
  3. Sign Hardy to a big deal, net us a 3rd round comp pick, make Dez mad that he didn't get a big extension...I'll take it.
  4. As has been said...at worst, he's quality ST and depth. But I like the guy's confidence, thinking he should be and will compete for a starting job. I want players in the secondary to be confident, and frankly his belief in himself will only push Boston more if nothing else. Or get Harper off the field more.
  5. One of the best? No. But if he can just become decent depth, it's a big win for the team. Lester made some big plays as a rookie...but also some bad ones. I do wish he would've got some more burn last year though (when he was actually with the team).
  6. We're not getting a 3rd round comp pick. A 5th at best this year, in 2016 though? Maybe a 3rd for Hardy.
  7. Nick Fairley signing with the Rams has given them an absolute monster DL. Quinn, Long, Brockers, Fairley, and Donald? Yikes. If Nick Foles can give them anything decent, hello NFC dark horse.
  8. It makes all the sense in the world for Hardy to end up in Oakland. The Kraken instantly becomes a fan favorite, they paint their faces the same, and he goes to multiple Pro Bowls while never winning more than 6 or 7 games a year. Get it done, and get it done for big money to get us a sweet little comp pick.
  9. Eagles trade for a QB made of glass who isn't known for running...or being good. Eagles sign 2 RBs with injury histories. Eagles trade All-Pro level O-line player. Chip Kelly, making me kinda happy the Panthers didn't go after him.
  10. The Bucs have decent talent and just need a QB before they're respectable again. They've got some damn good pieces, and just added another one. I'll wait till they take the field, but they're our truest contender if all goes well in the draft for them.
  11. 1-2 games is "fair" I guess. Not like the NFL would admit they were wrong, ever. So 1-2 games is the equivalent of yeahhhhh, well see, what had happened was...we messed up. But we're not saying that. Have the Ray Rice treatment.
  12. Extremely low risk, high-ish reward guy. Local, cheap, big games in BoA before, and could at least be valuable in the red zone. I'd be mildly excited about Nicks.
  13. Good find. And that may explain our plan for him, since DeHaven said he wants special teams aces.
  14. This is the part that confuses me. And obviously FA is far from over and we may bring in a guy for all we know. But, if sounds like we had interest in Torrey...but the 9ers drove his price up past what Gettleman was comfortable paying. Fine, cool, whatever. But if we do indeed end up just writing off WR all together, then I'll question it. I think we draft a WR early anyway...but for me, I've always figured we'd sign one mid-tier guy, as well as draft at least one. So we shall see.
  15. From Voth's latest... Again, a ‘dollar store’ signing is hardly what fans envisioned when Gettleman said the Panthers “may be able to step up in class a little bit” back in January. But the sense is they’re happy with what they did before free agency kicked off Tuesday, they’re hopeful about the upcoming draft, and they aren’t currently planning to be in the market for even second-tier guys like Cecil Shorts orMichael Crabtree. Now, that I don't agree with.
  16. Really? Not to mention the report came out like a week ago that CAM and the Panthers were in a wait and see approach, as CAM was content to let the market set itself with Luck and RW. Well since you didn't reply to my other post pointing out your silliness. Maybe this one... Players behind Cam in his draft... #2 - Von Miller - rookie deal. #3 - Marcell Dareus - rookie deal #4 - AJ Green - rookie deal #5 - Patrick Peterson - Signed new deal before 2014 season #6 - Julio Jones - rookie deal #7 - Aldon Smith - Restructured to a 1 year deal, because he's got his issues # 8 - Jake Locker - Retired today # 9 - Tyron Smith - Signed, because Dallas needed cap space (that mythical thing again) #10 - Blane Gabbert - Lol Now if you mean guys from his class, like Dalton and Kaep? Yes, but they also weren't afforded the luxury of being a 1st round pick and the option year added into their contracts like these Top 10 picks. If you want to cry (#2 WR is the only thing we may agree on)...at least find something credible to cry about.
  17. So Hurney put talent on this team, but then it was crap. And the cap is a mythical unicorn that has directly resulted in moves today like the Ravens trading Ngata, and the Saints cutting key guys, while also trading Graham to even Drew Brees's surprise. But if it can always be manipulated, why don't teams just do it and sign all the pieces they want? Dammit, Gettleman, you fool.
  18. You're going to be a joy to have around, aren't you?
  19. Cotchery replacement? The one year the Packers actually used him, he was mildly productive. Low risk, mild reward.
  20. Just a little background on Boykin. 6' 2", but he's slow. - 4.74 40 time. Reports say he has outstanding route running and creates separation however. His only productive year (when he actually played/before GB drafted Davante Adams to fill his role) 49 Rec, 681 Yards, 3 TDs
  21. Hmmm...sure, he's a small name. But intriguing from the one year GB actually used him.
  22. A 3rd round comp pick would be a beautiful thing. Sure, Hardy was a beast. And I'd rather he never got into trouble/still on the team. But look at what some guys were traded for today...and then factor in the 10 million dollars less per year we'll have to pay that draft pick. Probably best for all parties with Cam/Luke's contracts coming up that we'll be without Hardy, and have a 3rd rounder and tons of cap space as a bonus.
  23. With all the player for player trades that have happened so far, has me wondering who, if anyone, on our roster could be up for grabs to find a decent OT or WR. Honestly can't think of anyone though
  24. Didn't know how much Unger was making, but after a little research into their future cap, yeah should fit him in rather easily. Bastards.
