Jakob's Not so mocky, BPA draft talky talk.

The NFL draft is upon us. Who do I want in this years draft? It's irrelevant. Whoever we pick this year, be it a WR, OT, CB, LB, DE. The main focus needs to be drafting a solid player. I'd rather take a solid player over a position of need that has a likely chance to bust. This draft is wide open, I feel like each pick will affect who is taken with the remaining picks so it seems futile to make a mock draft. But, that doesn't mean I don't know who I want taken with the 28th pick...

Wide Receivers

#1 Kelvin Benjamin
#2 Brandin Cooks
#3 Marquise Lee
#4 Allen Robinson

Late round steal: Jared Abbrederis

Corner Back

#1 Kyle Fuller
#2 Jason Verett

Late round steal: Pierre Disir

Offensive Tackle

#1 Cyrus Kouandjio
#2 Morgan Moses
#3 JaWuan James

Late round steal: Billy Turner

Wild Card Picks:

LB Ryan Shazier
DE Kony Ealy (Highly Unlikely)

My three favorites guys in this draft are Kelvin Benjamin, Ryan Shazier and Brandon Coleman.

Ryan Shazier is probably the fastest LB I've ever seen. His plays are so explosive. The guy can literally run down the fastest guys on the field. Kuechly, Davis, Klein, Blackburn, Shazier, would probably be the best line backing core the NFL has ever seen. You can't preach BPA and be opposed to drafting Shazier. My biggest daydream is us somehow coming away with Kelvin Benjamin and Brandon Coleman. Standing at 6'5 and 6'6 adding that duo to Greg Olsen and Mike Tolbert with Cam under center would be one of the most hilariously unstoppable red zone offense you could ever imagine. Cam would thrive with big targets like that. I really don't know what our draft board is going to look like but, I trust our team is going to make the correct picks.

And please, if Luke Kuechly has taught us anything.. Don't judge the picks until you've seen them play..

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
