2014 Summer Transfer Window: Rumors, Completed Deals, Pipedreams!

Looks like we're only going after Ben Davies, who's valuation is £12m. Not sure how Rose would react, as I can see Davies taking the LB spot if we land him. Apparently, Swansea feel they could get more for Davies, as they pulled out of an agreement in principle.

There's been talk of interest in DePay, but going against the likes of RM, Man U, and Man City doesn't make me close to holding my breath.

As always, our summer will suck (last year was an aberration). We'll send out feelers for certain players we have no shot of landing, hem and haw for two months, then sign deadbeats on the last day for bargain basement prices. Nothing but love for Levy, eh?

Marca reports that Liverpool and Barcelona agreed on a sale fee of  £62.5m.  BBC reports it's all cash.  Deal should be finalized tomorrow.

Alexis Sanchez will be sold within next 24 hours.

Good bye Suarez.

There are so many figures. All we know is Suarez will be sold for £0-100m.

BBC news just reported an hour ago that the deal was £60m plus Sanchez. So, nobody has any idea at this point.

Ummmm....this is sure to result in disappointment, but nonetheless:

Liverpool are interested in Seattle Sounders star DeAndre Yedlin and could invite the young full-back on trial during pre-season.

Reds scouts were already aware of Yedlin’s abilities having followed him since the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey and they are now looking into a deal for the player.

According to reports in America, Liverpool want the player to join them on trial over the summer with a view to a permanent deal later in the transfer window.

Juve is trying to hijack Alexis Sanchez deal.  But for them to do that, they have to move Vidal or Pogba.

There are a few reports saying that Liverpool will demand a clause in the Suarez deal saying that Sanchez can't be sold to a Prem club other than Liverpool.

Alexis Sanchez just posted this on his official facebook page.  Can someone translate?

Todo parece indicar que Alexis Sánchez ya sería nuevo jugador del Arsenal FC. Medios españoles e ingleses hablan sobre su fichaje, el cual habría sido al rededor de 40M€. Si es así, ¡suerte Niño Maravilla!.

In other news: Arsenal contacted Real Madrid regarding Khedira transfer.

    • Ya'll.....look at Stafford without his feet set. This is why people in here talk about Bryce not having elite abilities mattering when plays break down. He cannot make these kind of throws with his base not being set.
    • Pretty much going to play each other the same way.  Stop the run let the bad QB try to win the game. It will come down to who makes the least amount of mistakes.
    • From the Charlotte Observer   1. quarterback Bryce Young has yet to earn a road win this season, and the third-year former overall No. 1 pick is 1-15 on the road as a starter for his career — which is tied for the worst record over 16 games in NFL history. 2. The Jets, meanwhile, haven’t won a game yet. But even still it’s tough to pinpoint their identity. 3. They’ve lost four of their six games by a single score — three games by two points, specifically.  4. Quarterback Justin Fields has flashed his propensity for playmaking at times this year — with the exception of his Week 6 performance where he only threw for 45 yards passing — and Breece Hall is a undeniably good lead running back having a solid year statistically.   5. The Jets’ team rankings aren’t too ugly either.     Their defense, specifically. That unit is ninth in third-down conversion rate (36.4%) and 10th in opponent passing yards per game (200.5).   Their Achilles heel to date, it appears, is their turnover margin (-1.2, 31st in the NFL).
