Madrid lost all leverage.  Manchester United is the only team that can afford him and Madrid have to sell him.

I don't think they HAVE to sell him, they definitely want to though. They're not going to move him if they're not getting what they consider to be decent value for him. "Cheap" implies they're going to dump him for like 30m Euros which I don't see happening at all.

That hasn't stopped Madrid from negotiating a deal for Pogba. In addition, Perez is making certain that Real is in good shape for the future just in case he's not around 2-3 years from now. His statement to the press that we're not done spending yet and Juve's all the sudden recent comment about selling Pogba/Vidal for a reasonably 'high bid' confirms it to me.

Could definitely happen, but they're going to move ADM first. I think if they get a 50-60m Euro offer for ADM they'll jump at it.

Cheap implies selling a player below market value.

He will be sold cheap.  Di Maria is now entering his prime and he's on fire.  Madrid is selling a player entering his prime and replacing him with a player that had success against crappy competition.

Di Maria also disappears for long stretches too. He's not nearly consistent enough for how much talent he has. It really depends on what people think his "market value" is.

I think we'll sell him for £55m at the end of the day. It's lower than Madrid had expected but at this point we're just looking to off-load Di Maria while his stock is high. We've already made £32m off of Morata, Casemiro, etc etc etc and £57m from the CL Final. Angel fetching £50m+ should pretty much fund a Pogba move.

I would be thrilled with selling him for that much, because I think that's a little more than his market value tbh. Di Maria could be one of the top five players in the world, but his consistency/one footedness holds him back.

It wouldn't be yet. I give it a day or two before this all over the rumor sites if Monaco is truly interested.

So you saying instead of Monaco getting their player outright, istead they choose to compete with likes of PSG and Manchester United?  Makes no sense.

It's not that hard to believe. After all, we chose to just deal Juve Morata for £20m without making an all out effort to get Pogba or Vidal until now.

Because Juve said they're not for sale and it's likely you guys will stick with Khedira because no one wants him.

Juve also said that they weren't looking into Morata a few months back. The fact is they've got financial issues and one was always going to be sold this summer regardless.

Khedira hasn't deterred Madrid from getting Pogba whatsoever.

Madrid need to sale players to get new players.  As much as you spend, you guys don't have unlimited bank account.  If you think Madrid can afford paying Khedira $170k a week to sit on bench then you are out of your mind.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
