Apparently Real Madrid asked for £12m from Arsenal for Khedira. Looks like Wenger is gonna accept it.

Apparently Khedira is not welcomed at Real Madrid.  Seems like he burned some bridges.  Khedira currently in Munich and some sources saying he will join Bayern but I dunno.  Bayern Munich Javi Martinez is hurt but he will be back in 6 months.  I doubt Khedira wants to be a back-up.

Ancelotti: "Khedira is happy, and he's staying. The matter with him is resolved".

Here's what Marca reported last night

Argentine playerÁngel Di Maríaand GermanSami Khedirareturned to the fray this morning for Real Madrid's training session. Both players were not called up for theSuper Cup matchagainst Atlético and are waiting on getting their marching orders.

Ancelotti decided not to include Di María and Khedira for the all-important game at the Vicente Calderón stadium and was also quite open and frank regarding how they stand at the club. He revealed that the Argentine had asked to leave and then surprised all after his team's defeat by saying that the player was not needed. Regarding Khedira, Ancelotti said that the club had offered him a contract renewal that was turned down before the German's fellow countryman Toni Kroos was brought in.

Last night, Di María didn´t go to the Vicente Calderón, but rather decided to watch the match at home after earlier leaving those that were chosen to play at the Valdebebas training complex.

Khedira, meanwhile, decided to take a plane to Leipzig to see his brother Rani play for Rasen Ballsport Leipzig. Today, the player had returned for training, although well aware that he does not form a part of Ancelotti's plans for the new season. "At the moment I have a foot out the door. Until 31st August, anything can happen", observed the player, who is waiting to see if any of the offers he has on the table end up as a firm deal.

I just found were your quote is coming from... it's over 2 weeks old.

Once ADM is finalized it opens the door for RM to bring in one more big name player. James transfer will be almost 100% funded by ADM sale, and Kroos funded by Morata, Sahin and Garay. I fully except Perez to aggressively pursue Pogba/Vidal this last week of the window...

Neither Pogba or Vidal is on our radar anymore. There are whispers of Reus though. Whatever the case may be, we better sign someone of grand importance now that we sold Di Maria for €70-80 million.

Have heard it's 90m after addons.

Won't pursue Pogba if Khadira is staying.

So, most likely Man U will spend £64m for Di Maria when it's all said and done. Anyone else feel that that team is reeking of desperation right now?

With their expenditures the last few windows, their failure to make any European competition, and their unbelievable level of debt (in excess of £700m), Man U is on the brink of a full-on crisis.

This something similar happened to Leeds United.  They were one of the better clubs in EPL and then BOOM! and club fall apart.  They spend too much money, incurred too much debt and failed to pay it back.

I still question Adidas sponsorship deal because it's beyond fishy.  Also, Manchester United is struggling to sale the players they currently have.  No one is willing to pay what they want.

Manchester United is in panic mode.  I honestly have no idea why Di Maria agreed to join ManUre.

    • Canales’ recipe for success is simple — slow the game down with long drives that keep the other team’s offense off the field. Long drives are built from short gains but short gains require more 3rd-down conversions.  The Panthers are converting 37.5% of their third downs, which is average but not enough. As a result, they have attempted 21 fourth downs — the most in the NFL — and they’ve converted 71.4% of them, ranking 3rd among teams with at least 15 attempts. The Chiefs are second @ 80% and the Colts are first at 88% but the majority of their conversions are short yardage runs - not passes.  The Panthers have had three big wins this season — against Miami, the Cowboys, and the Packers — those conversions have played a major role in each of those wins. Miami The Panthers trailed by 17 in the 2nd quarter, facing a 4th-and-5 at the Miami 48. Young threw a 21-yard completion and they went on to score 7 on that drive. Then in the 4th, down by 4, they faced another 4th-and-5 at the Miami 33. Young delivered a 17-yard completion for the 1st down and they went on to score the winning TD. Cowboys The game is tied and the Panthers take over at their own 14 with 6 minutes left. Rico picks up 16 yards and Young converts two 3rd downs, gaining 37 yards, but misses on a third conversion. At the Cowboys’ 40, facing a 4th-and-4 at the 2-minute mark — knowing the Cowboys likely score if they get the ball back — Canales has them go for it. Young converts with a 7-yard pass putting them at the 33 in FG range. They then go on to kicj the game winning FG. Packers Young was 2-for-2 on 4th-down attempts. Then on the final drive starting from their own 19 with the score tied, Young converts two 3rd downs for 19 yards and Rico adds another 19 to move them into field-goal range for the win. In total, Bryce went 2-for-4 on 3rd downs and 5-for-5 on 4th downs on critical plays in those games. When the Panthers needed 1 yard against the Packers on their own 41 early in the game, Canales went to Young. - not Rico. When they needed 4 yards to keep the drive going at the 2 minute mark against the Cowboys he went to Young. Those throws weren’t empty-yardage completions; they were high-pressure, must-convert moments that directly contributed to all three wins. I keep reading how the Panthers  are winning in spite of Young, that Canales doesn’t trust him and schemes around him. But these drives show the opposite: when the game is on the line, Canales has consistently put the ball in Young’s hands and Young has consistently produced in those moments.  Some people do well in normal situations but crumble under pressure. Others can be uneven in normal times but produce when the presure is greatest. The question is who would you rather have in the playoffs. More importantly, who do you think Canales and the FO would want?
    • I think is worse news for Tremayne. They need special teams help with him questionable.  If T-Mac is down, XL, Coker, Horn, and Renfrow. No way Chisena gets meaningful snaps as WR, only on special teams.
