Stauskas To Work Out For Hornets Wednesday

Recommended Posts

I dont see Cha trading this pick.

Additionally, I think it is pretty clear who they should draft out of who is likely to be available.

I get the exact opposite impression.

Let's recap...

According to a source, a team called and asked if we would be willing to part with our picks (not pick, but picks), we said yes.

Now let's take a look at who are first few workouts were... they were players that you would take at 24 overall or 45 overall.

This leads me to believe that we would be very open to trading #9 if we get a good player back and would be willing to part with all of our picks if we get a very good player back.

I expect a trade come draft day for either the ninth overall pick or all of the picks.

Ovcourse we would be willing if the price (player) was right.

However, I dont see anyone offering us that type of player.

Gonna have to do better than a AA imo.

AA is a Clifford guy... so I'm not so sure.

At number nine, you aren't getting the sure player that Afflalo is. Not to mention that he is a great fit for our overall offense.

Based on the names you keep seeing projected to go at #9, it's obvious that 9 is not a great place for the Hornets to be, so package that pick for a much better player than you will be getting at 9 and hopefully swap it for a 1st Rd pick in the teens.

.

Yeah seems to be the case.

Nothing / No one is a sure thing.

What you have and can get are prospects, many of which are better than AA at 9.

AA is like a less athletic Hendo with a jumper. Good but not great.

Give me Staus all day over AA.

So what you're saying is that Hendo and Afflalo are nothing a like?

If Hendo had a jumper we wouldn't be even having this conversation because he'd probably be a top 10 shooting guard.

His overall game is good, his inability to score isn't.

    • Watching Williams last night, guy has an arm and nfl ability  i see no future with Young.  either a player has nfl ability or they dont  cant survive on 20 or less points a game
    • Fowler: Bucs 23, Panthers 16. Baker Mayfield only won a single game when he was an unimpressive Carolina starter, but somehow he’s 5-0 when playing AGAINST the Panthers. For the Panthers to pull off this upset, they’ll need to score at least in the mid-20s. With Tampa Bay relatively healthy following a mini-bye (and Mike Evans’ return is huge), it feels like this will be too tough a task. Kaye: Bucs 24, Panthers 20. The win-loss-win-loss streak comes to an end. It’s hard to trust the play-calling following the loss to the New Orleans Saints. The Panthers know what’s on the line, but they also knew last week, too. It’ll be close; I just have trouble trusting a positive outcome after a defeating one on the road. Zietlow: Panthers 38, Bucs 35. This prediction goes against conventional wisdom, but then again, conventional wisdom doesn’t seem to apply to these Panthers. This group, after all, has yet to lose back-to-back contests since Weeks 1 and 2. I think they win this one to make Week 18 interesting — and yes, that’s even with motivated Baker Mayfield and future Hall of Famer Mike Evans in good form. Why not?
    • Sam developed into a different player after he mostly sat for a year and learned a ton by being in that QB room under Shannahan in San Francisco.  Then he went to the Vikings who have a poo load of talent and another genius level offensive mind at HC in Kevin O Connel. I think they genuinely built up his confidence in a way he never did in New York or Charlotte.  He would not have been the same player if he stayed here IMO. Especially if he had been involved in that disaster season with Frank Reich in 2023, that might have cooked his confidence for good.  I guess you could argue we wouldn't have been that bad if we also kept cmc and dj i guess.
