Do parents not teach kids how to dress?

Now now.  If we are going to let the hot chick wear itty bitty clothing, have to let the non-attractive by today's models standard beauty queen wear them too.

oh, my bad.

Here I am thinking that pushing 200+ is "healthy", silly me.

damn you female models for ruining that!!

no, honey.

this is not my definition of healthy, this is overweight

Some where on that beach there is a skinny dude who has to turn over to his stomach cause of the tent she caused.

I saw some girls at the mall the other day. Maybe 16-18 years old. They had rompers, it was short enough that their ass line was hanging out of it. It looked like they were wearing bathing suits. They didn't look like little hookers. It didn't bother me or freak me out.  It's the mall, no big deal. No harm

The style now is your ass cheeks hanging out because the high waisted shorts are so in style.

love the high waisted shorts, don't love the fact that I have to look at your ass while I'm in line at the mall. Just my opinion. I used to walk outta the house just like that though......keep the shorts a little long, hike em up after you leave.

I see it both ways on this one...

As a father, (I have boys, but it's really not all that different) I wouldn't want my kids dressed in a "provocative" manner, esp if I had girls...

I get it that kids in general are going to push boundaries... as boo said, dress one way as you're leaving the house so dad won't see your shorty shorts and pull them up when you leave...

Young girls nowadays (and when I say young, I mean 10-15 age range) seem to be showing a LOT more skin...  went to the mall the other night as well Cat, there was a girl, she looked maybe 14, midriff top, shorty short shorts... I mean short... and cowboy boots, walking with her boyfriend of about the same age.

Honestly she looked more dumb than provocative.  Trying too hard, etc...

I wouldn't say that it "bothers" me... but like I said, if I was the father of a 13-14 yo girl, she wouldn't be showing that much skin as long as I was around to say something about it.

If you're talking about the beach/water park/etc... who cares... bikinis are appropriate, even for young girls...

If someone is fat, and they want to wear a bikini or go shirtless, if they're comfortable with it, whatever... I don't really want to see it, but that's on me, not them.  Some people just don't care what others think... so be it.

I'm pretty much with you.

It doesn't bother me and like you said, often it looks silly or like they are trying too hard but that's typical with kids trying to grow up and prove themselves.

It certainly doesn't outrage me or make me think society is falling apart. And I don't assume they are slutty little whores.

Exactly... It didn't even enter my mind that that girl was "slutty" or whatever... she just looked like she was trying a little too hard to impress her bf...

I think kids, girls in particular, should be taught that their bodies are special and that they should be proud of them, and at the same time that there is a time for modesty and a time that it's appropriate to wear less.

    • I personally think you are trying to talk yourself into circles here... It's ok to say Bryce played incredible the last 5 weeks... I know there are plenty of people on this board who desperately need the doom-and-gloom narrative, but I genuinely question how much NFL QB play some of these people really have watched when they still question him being the unquestioned starter for next year...  Again, that being said, no one is crowning him at all. I think Bryce is one of the best stories going into 2025 bc his season last year was so outlandishly unprecedented. It's totally fair to personally not believe in Bryce. Plenty of sports "journalists" need to write stories, and that's an easy narrative path... But I think that actual people in the know rank Bryce much higher. That's the fun thing about sports... we shall see!
    • Regardless of how we got here, any rational fan should be excited by how well Bryce played down the stretch. Anyone not happy about that level of play either doesn't know what they're looking at, or they're still trying to drive tired narratives. Obviously, Cam had an all-time rookie season, and I'm not putting the two in the same basket yet, but as someone who has watched every snap of Panthers football since the start of the new millennium (Im old), Bryce was playing at a higher level at the end of 2024 than Cam was at the end of 2012 (his 2nd season). Cam continued to develop into MVP form, something Bryce has to prove, but as someone who watched both (and will stan for Cam always), Bryce was playing at a higher level to end year 2 than Cam did.  Go watch the film if you dont believe me. None of that means anything for the future. But the people who said BY9 couldnt play in this league are wrong.   That being said, the only thing that matters is this year. #20 is perfectly fair IMO going into the season. I mean think about it, how would you rank him??!  His in-season turnaround is one of the wildest things I've ever seen... how do you rank a guy who looked like a massive bust in September and by January was consistently playing at a top 10 level? My excitement level is pretty damn high heading into this season. There were throws from the Chiefs game onward where Bryce had Drew Brees levels of anticipation. Im excited to see what he can do with a full deck on offense, something we really never gave Cam. Really hope and expect Bryce to move up this list this season.
    • Not really, the only QB's (other than Anthony Richardson) ranked below him are new to their teams as a placeholder starter or drafted in 2024 or 2025, not a lot of gymnastics to get there. It's not about how many that is, if it's 20, 12, or 2... It means there isn't a QB who's team has committed to them for the long term right now that they have ranked below Bryce. That's not a great thing.
