The running back situation....

Anyone have concerns about the running game this season? Chuba is a good back. Not a superstar by any means. Brooks is a huge question mark and is one knee injury from being done. The other is an unproven rookie that hasn't proven anything yet.

They are basically relying on Chuba to carry the load. If he gets hurt, then the shyte hits the fan. Young needs a running game to assist him and make up for his deficiencies (as most QB's do.) Do you feel secure going into the season with what they have?

I don’t feel secure, but if there was a position that can have starter quality found in udfa, it's RB.

Basically this; I think we're an injury away from a tough time at the position. But if Brooks can find a way to consistently stay healthy in his career I do think he'll be a difference maker

Honestly, no more or less than most years. It'd be nice to have two excellent backs to work with, but there's only so many holes that can be filled in one offseason. The days of Williams and Stewart waiting for training camp this time of year are gone. And we traded away, cheaply, the best running back we ever had.

Still, Chuba can carry the ball well and while he might not be a star in the league, I've got confidence in him based on the work produced so far. Brooks... I  want to see him string together some games, some plays.

FYI, a super sleeper has the team whispering among themselves.

Anthony Tyus has the staff dying to see him in live action. They have been impressed with him since he joined mid-season.

RB is one of the easiest spots to fill.

Plus trades and good ones get cut each year.

Only if chubba goes down, otherwise lets see what they have...

We've picked up 2 2025 UDFAs in Anthony Tyus and Montrell Johnson. Neither are going to light the world on fire, but they at least have a year in the big leagues under their belt.

Tyus has the staff talking.

Cool. Montrell Johnson sounds like a good short yardage back. "Johnson’s running style is marked by violence on contact and all-fight-no-flight instincts. " Let's hope that Chuba and Brookes stay healthy and we don't need either.
