One thing that always bug me about soccer

There's definitely some hard collisions when the players are running full force.  Also, I can't imagine the pain when someone is hit with a hard headbutt while the ball is in the air.  Of course all of this is relatively new to me.  I didn't know soccer was more known for it's flopping than any other sport.

The sad part about it, is it's worked it's way down to the high school level in America.

Perhaps there need to be some rule changes in the major league, and let it work it's way down to the high school level.  Cut down on yellow card foul calls.

Yeah, it's more about the way the game is officiated.

In my opinion, officials don't give out enough cards for embellishment.

I think if you saw more warnings for embellishment then the flopping would begin to disappear.

The problem is soccer is a worldwide game and it's officiated differently by everybody, so literally every official in the world would have to be on the same page and take a stance against flopping.

Ah, I believe I understand what you're talking about.  I know when it comes to basketball in the Olympics, the game is officiated a little bit different than we do it in the US.

English 'soccer' fans hate it just as much.

For some reason it only seems to happen at the top level (International, Premier League etc), I follow a team that plays in the 3rd tier of English footy and it's much less common here.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
