2014 Huddle NBA Mock Draft

Welcome Huddlers, to the first ever Carolina Huddle user Mock Draft!

First off, I'd like to thank Dorian Gray for first bringing up the idea. Second, I'd like to thank everyone who will be participating for claiming their teams in good time and not making everyone wait a week. I apologize to those who couldn't claim a team, however we are running out of time and plenty of time was given to claim teams.

Now, on to the draft

When - The draft will begin tomorrow at 12:00 PM and run through next week up until Thursday (June, 26th) at 6:00 PM.

In order for the timing to be right, each person will get 2 and a half hours to make their choice. If you aren't able to make your pick, or your pick runs throughout the middle of the night, PM your top choices and your selection will be made for you.

Once a person makes their pick and it's updated here, the next person is on the clock. Because of this it's very possible we finish well before 6:00 PM next Thursday. If you miss your pick completely and are never heard from, you will be given the top player left from this list http://www.cbssports.com/nba/draft/prospect-rankings

If your pick is in the middle of the night and you miss it, you will be given more time to make your pick if things are going faster then expected. Here is the draft order

Trades are permitted You may trade players well as long as it works here http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine

Please try to keep trade negotiations inside private messaging to keep this thread for picks and discussing the picks only starting tomorrow at 12:00.

I think we should be able to trade anything as long as it works with the NBA trade machine. This going to be very fun.

It's your team, trade anyway you like as long as works money wise. Trade machine is a good way to go.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
