According to KSLA, the man was riding in the back of the vehicle on the Kings Highway in Los Angeles at around 12.30pm on Thursday when the mattress he was lying on was flung out of the back – with him still on it.

Officers, who are still investigating the incident, reminded people that a human being cannot hold down an untied mattress if it goes airborne.
