Anyone else watching the Miami vs Louisville game? Looks like Miami is doing alright in the run game with Duke Johnson.

i am. HUGE duke johnson fan, had a nasty ankle injury last year at FSU. looks damn good now. want another speed WR, Philip Dorsett WR for Miami. Da U strength and conditioning coach clocked him at 4.18 in the spring.

Literally just watching for Dorsett

Sucks about Parker's foot

dude has a1 speed.yeah it does suck for Parker, thought he was going to come out this past draft.

QB play is most likely going to hurt Dorsett's exposure, but he'll blow up the combine and jump up some boards. Would love go grab him in the middle rounds. We could really use someone like him.

The one game of his that they have on Draft Breakdown against GT is a good one to watch.

Exactly.

I hate when people say that you can find RBs in the late rounds. If it's that easy, then how come so many teams are still in need if a RB. Teams get lucky. That's what it is.

In a redo draft, Alfred Morris would be going in the 1st round. Not 6th.

Every year, the teams that can run the ball are the ones in the Playoffs. Even Green Bay a heavy passing offense (2010-2011) were desperate for the running game late in the season into the Playoffs. If they didn't find it with James Starks, they probably wouldn't have been the SB Champs.

Teams don't really need RBs. They're still very easy to find in late rounds (look at Fozzy and Reaves, for example), and I seriously doubt Alfred Morris would've gone in the 1st round. He's a product of Mike Shanahan's offense, who has always turned no-names into 1k yard rushers (look at the numbers in Denver).

But, this year is different. Gurley is next level good. He's one of the best RB prospects in years, if he can stay healthy.

Until Fozzy and Reeves rush for 1k......

week 2 has some really good match ups.

USC vs Stanford. the best DL prospect  Leonard Williams could be faced against one of the better LT prospects Andrus Peat from Stanford. would like to see WR Nelson Agholor matched up against  CB Wayne Lyons who is a big CB. also can Ty Montgomery can duplicate his performance last week vs some pretty decent DBs for USC. would love to see him matched up on Shaw, because he would have shadowed him the entire game.

Maryland vs South Florida

Ole Miss vs Vanderbilt

Michigan St vs Oregon. tough defense vs fast offense. both defenses have pretty good DBs in Oregon's CB Ifo Ekpre- Olomu and Michigan St S Kurtis Drummond. Ifo is a really good CB, who play press man, off man, and zone coverages. has really good feet, and very aggressive in the run and pass game. he backs down from no one. Kurtis is an aggressive center fielder who plays in coverage really well, with great angles.  also can help in the run game, running the alley with toughness.

ECU vs South Carolina

Michigan vs Notre Dame

BYU vs Texas

Virginia Tech vs Ohio St

SDSU vs UNC

    • Biiiiiig eyeroll on this.  First, Look at historical stats of the most recent historical great DBs.  I plucked 3, Revis, Sherman, and Norman (cuzz he was our guy).  Combined post age 30, there are TWO pro bowls between those 3 and wanna get this...ZERO seasons with 16 games started.  ALL missed time.  It is RARE that Corners survive that long in the NFL and its about time we started recognizing this fact.  Jaycee is a good bet because it hasnt been anything seriously devastating injury wise, and with his sample size he could and should be an incredible piece for the panthers through age 30. Jaire kinda flops on the other side, hes 28...so hes under 30, but he wants his payday before it comes up, hes also been injury prone lately.  Bulk of the contract will be on opposite side of 30.  Will both of these guys help us be better in 2026?  SURE!  No doubt, but the question is, will these guys help us past 2026...not sure. The investment isnt worth the risk, nor would the ROI be anywhere close to worth it.  Neither guy is moving us from a 6-8 win team to a 8-10 team, period. My point is we're in this state a 6-8 win team IMO and he projects us as  a 4-6 win team.  EVEN if we think Jaire or Ramsey will make us a 6-8 win team, it in NO WAY is worth the money or capital to move that much just to suck kinda less.
    • I assumed he was retiring but apparently he plans on playing multiple more seasons.  Florida is gonna have trouble holding onto everyone.  Happens to all teams that have that much success.
    • I hate Marchand, but if he became a free agent.....
