Re-watching The Walking Dead after reading 40 comics

And.....they're not supposed to be. The series is based on the comic, not an exact retelling. When they do another series, based on a different group, it's gonna have some aspects of the comic, too.

I'm rewatching it, too. It's surprising how much I'd forgotten.

then why even use the same characters if they're not going to be the same characters

Andrea turned into a bleeding heart bitch.

I really like the show for different reasons than I like the comics. I can totally appreciate and respect the fact that they made some different decisions due to working with a different medium.

That said...they fuged up one of the best characters in the WD universe with Andrea. They had a badass...and created...well...you nailed it.

I've been rewatching the series too and I'm about 4-5 episodes away from being finished. One thing that I've noticed during the rewatch is that while Daryl is a pretty decent character to have around, when he is the complete focus of the episode those episodes always suck.

or you could go read the comics

I just read the first 126 comics recently.

You are overstating how much better the source material is.  The overall story arch is the same, and the only difference being really who dies and who lives.

Even though I say you are overstating how much better it is, it is an awesome comic series

i honestly don't give a poo who lives and dies on the show, they're all interchangeable

but some of the deaths in the comics have affected me

    • It's going to take time to really evaluate new ownership. I still have some hopes that they can get us past the curse of the Jordan years. We got screwed over by the league with the lottery yet again, nothing in this draft was ever going to make people happy after that happened.
    • The Hornets were screwed when they lost out on the #1 pick. Outside of Cooper Flagg this was a terrible draft class full of risky prospects and red flags. Kon Knueppel likely won't ever be a superstar - or even a star, realistically - but he can be a solid contributor for a long time in the league. That's actually more than I think will end up being the case for many of these players.
    • I guess we should disregard what all these places say about our draft? And just trust you guys on this board? And as far as the Mark Williams trade, most places are saying we got the much better end of that trade for what its worth to yall. Bleacher report has Kon a "B", BR has him C+, Fansided A-, NBC Sports overall draft an A-, Sports Illustrated overall A-, MSN has Kon a B+, Yahoo Sports has us at an A- overall. Here is what ESPN posted:  Post-Draft Analysis Knueppel's well-rounded perimeter game and terrific 3-point shooting ultimately won out in Charlotte's decision process, with the Hornets attracted to his fit with their current roster and his long-term potential. He should help stabilize their perimeter minutes immediately, with his dependability all season at Duke a major selling point. The Hornets were thought to be exploring moves here, but were content to simply grab their guy and move forward. This is a strong match that should pay off right away for both sides. -- Jeremy Woo
