Ferrari QB used like a '85 Camry

You can't expunge Cam of blame. When he feels pressure, more often than not he tucks it and tries to run. But his ankle is not right and he's not getting anywhere. He had open receivers at times and took sacks.

It's something we're gonna have to live with.  We can't celebrate the ridiculous plays he makes by breaking out of near certain sacks and then taking off on a scramble or hitting an open WR if we can't also accept that sometimes it's not gonna work out.  Cam is always going to take some sacks and hits he shouldn't because he always thinks he can make a play.

We don't use the read option anymore for fear of him getting hurt. It might turn into late 2012 again when cam says fug it and starts to take off if we're not winning. Definitely not the end of the world, but this was an embarrassing wake up game as a reminder that we're not as good as we think we are.

It's ok.  You made a bad comment and tried to blame a pro-bowler...I forgive you.

Where did I blame Kallil?

He gave up 2 sacks and didn't get much push in the run game and also gave up pressure.

Rest of the Oline struggled as well.

My post was in regards to a post about Bell. Was pointing out he was not the only one at fault. Our pro bowl C had a bad game too.

Yeah but right now he's not escaping. He doesn't have his speed and agility. He can't he can't protect himself. He's better off throwing it away then taking those big hits.

Big ben is the same type of QB as cam. If anything Cam is more athletic. Big Ben takes a lot of sacks too and gets hit a lot.

Difference is Big ben has better pocket awarness. He slides around, pump fakes, steps up etc ... instead of panicking and bailing from the pocket at the 1st sign of pressure. That's what cam is missing from his game. He's been more accurate this year. We need a better online of course, but Cam needs to work on pocket awareness

The F/O is cheap now because the previous F/O went on a shopping spree and maxed out their credit card.

Gman is going to build around Cam, he just needs the money, draft picks, and time. He's taken care of the defense, and this past season started the process of taking care of the offense.

He cut Steve Smith what don't you understand?

How can you put weapons around him if you are taking away his #1?

I don't want to hear that it takes time crap. We have a team that can win the Superbowl now why wait? You can create room to sign key players if you really want to win.

It pisses me off when I see lesser talented QB's like Stafford have multiple weapons on offense while we are stuck with one #1 and a bunch of scrubs.

And Turner... And Velasco... And Chandler... And Amini.

Again, the whole offensive line sucks/sucked.

Sigh....... that was my point.

Poster made a comment about Bell. I pointed out Kallil gave up 2 sacks because the huddle has a tendency to scapegoat Bell as if he's the only problem.

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
