But hey we're still in first place

2-1, can't win them all. But it just really sucks that when we have the opportunity to shine, we poo a brick, and that puts it lightly. We fail on national television, we then get exposed for the world to see (Byron Bell's shitty ass finally showed up), and it was against the Steelers who I hate with a passion, even more so now. Point is, good teams show resiliency after things like this, but if we are exposed like this the rest of the season, it's going to be long. This team has it in them, maybe they were cocky going into tonight, but I wish I knew why the hell we gave up so much on the ground. I'll eat crow, i talked enough poo about tonight that the karma was due, but we beat ourselves tonight, and Pittsburgh still sucks. Hopefully Baltimore won't make us 2-2, and Flacco (Sucko) is a much worse QB than Rapistburger.

TLDR; We're still in first, fug the steelers, we beat ourselves.

Other teams just saw the perfect gameplan to beat us.  They were watching.  I don't have faith in Shula to counter it.  He will continue to call the same old poo.  It's sad that we have so much talent on this team to be performing like this.  The Bucs game wasn't that big a deal now that we've seen that they suck even worse than us.  The Lions game was nice, but I'm hoping it wasn't a fairy tale, lulling us into a false sense of security.  Tonights game was a knee to the balls and I'm hoping SOMETHING changes before next week.

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone and we have Taylor Moton inked to a recent extension. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
