Disappointed - Corrected

I'm kinda getting tired of hearing those two words every press conference.

"things need to be corrected", "its disappointing".

reminds me a lot of a much heard excuse in years past - "it is what it is".

Maybe try "player X is deactivated so we can activate player Y that will listen and show some effort"

Sounds like a perfect recipe on how to lose a locker room.

You make sweeping moves on starters in private not by announcing it to the press on the day after a bad loss.

RR on tape: "honestly I don't know anything yet guys, I haven't met with the coaches yet so we can review the tapes"

RR on backups: "the young man has earned an opportunity to step up and make plays for us.... he really has"

RR on backup backups: "He's done some nice things for us in camp and preseason and he'll get a chance"

RR on defense solution: "We just have to execute, we have guys not where they need to be"

RR on injuries: "I'm not sure, honestly guys, I really don't know, I'll find out how the MRI goes as soon as I'm done with you all"

RR on another loss: "What's disappointing is I thought we had a couple good days of practice even though the rain came down on us"

RR on what went wrong: "Well it started with the beginning penalties, and we dug ourselves into a hole early and couldn't quite recover"

RR on not going for it on 4th and short and settling for a tie: "I thought it would be best to let Gano get us 3 and put it on the defense"

RR on PS re-signings rather than fresh faces: "Well we felt he knew the system from last year and he stayed in football shape"

RR on exit: "We're done?

This is what our D looks like right now.. Imagine for a moment a team literally lost every single defensive back and LB to injury, so as a result that team has no choice but to promote practice squad WRs to step in and play CB and practice squad TEs to play linebacker. THATS exactly what our D looked like on Sunday, beyond lost and beyond confused. Ive never seen anything like it.

Ive watched some bad defenses this year, Saints among others and I havent seen anything close to the ineptude of our D

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
