Game 25: Hurricanes vs. Capitals

The Canes are at home against the Capitals tonight in a pretty significant game for what still is an early season matchup.

A win pushes the Canes past the Flyers and draws the Canes within 5 points of a playoff spot.

However, the Canes will have to do it without Ward and Sekera today. Let's hope Dobby can get back to his previous ways and lead the Canes to victory.

ugh...we already miss having Ward in the net.  That was a terrible piece of goal tending on that first goal.

we're going to need 1-2 extra goals/night that Khudobin is in net.  He's let a couple of softies in every game that I've seen him play.  He's serviceable, but is not someone I like seeing in the net.

Dobby was good last year but he's been exposed ever since teams keyed in on his rebound control.

we're playoff calibre with Ward in the net, .500 with Khudobin.  we need to find a more reliable #2 if we want to move up to the next level.

I'm watching at work, and from what I've seen we look like the better team.  I like what I've seen out of the team this season.  Peters looks like he has them moving in the right direction.

another tough loss, but we are playing well. defensive lapses are killing us, but we also need to get some more scoring. liking the progress the team has made. they look much more in control than in past years.
