If Steve had played every game...

With his YPG average he would be on pace to have 1600 yards. As it stands now he is third in the league with 1240 which is an incredible feat all on its own considering he is playing with a 2 game disadvantage. I doubt anyone will get close to Jerry Rice's 1800 but if Steve ever got over that 1600-1700 yard marks that would be special.

I've harked on this a couple times in other threads. What he does is unbelievable. His job was literally done in the first half. He stretched the D and CREATED our balanced offense single handedly. Btw, props to Jake to spreading the ball around with accuracy more than usual.

ps. if steve was in a high powered, pass heavy offense, Rice's record would be blown to poo.

He's put up great numbers during a year when our running game seems to be the bread and butter of our offense. Jake Delhomme hasn't thrown for many yards this year. Meaning we aren't throwing the ball left and right. So he's put those numbers up with a 2 game disadvantage and on an offense focused on the run.

What can I say...the guys awesome.
