Wilson knew exactly what he was doing when he looked the other way,  closed his eyes and tossed the ball 100 yards straight up in the air.  He knew that 5 Packer defenders would miss it,  as it floated between all of them..  and he knew that his guy would bring it down.     Just pure skiill.

Wilson throws prayer balls that somehow gets caught.

he can get away with that.  Everyone plays up in the box, but they also spy and have to play careful contain with the ends.  So in the back, it's man or man-1.  So you get ideal coverage for their mediocre receivers, and balls that would easily be picked or batted in cover 2, cover 3 just float forever but don't get contested.
