​Why wouldn't they go for Pogba?

​I'm not convinced they won't when all is said and done. That said, Vidal may be a better fit, will be much cheaper and is a great player (albeit a bit of a loose cannon) in his own right. There's also some rumors that the Madrid board is concerned about how Pogba conducts himself in his life away from the pitch, but I'm not sure how real those are (if at all).

Liverpool have rejected Man City's £30m offer for Raheem Sterling. City set to increase bid to £40m in the next few days. Liverpool expected to reject that as well. City will need to pay £50m.

​Would be ecstatic if we got that for Raheem.  We would obviously waste it on an assortment of secondary players, but I'd still be ecstatic.

Apparently Manchester City is the only team interested in Sterling.  Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal all have too many lightweight attacking midfielders.   Because there is no competition for Sterling, it's very doubtful the fee will be anywhere near 50m asked by Liverpool.  Manchester City will either pay 40m max or will start looking at other options.

​That actually puts Liverpool in a decent position. Sterling has 2 years left on his contract. If Man City won't meet our asking price, we can just say fug off and Sterling is just stuck. So, he can either rot on £30k/week or sign a much larger contract and then be sold next summer, much the way Suarez was.

Even if we sell him we know the money is just gonna go towards Benteke anyways lol.  Kinda wish we'd just keep him and sell him when we have a manager next summer that will hopefully know how to sign players that are gonna truly make a difference for the better.

Spurs trying to sign Bolasie.  Crystal Palace asking for 40m pounds.  Not likely to happen.

Petr Cech wants to join Arsenal (wants to stay in London) and will meet Chelsea officials today to grand him transfer.  If Jose allows Cech to go to Arsenal, the fee estimated to be 11m pounds.

Zidane has come out and said there is interest from Real Madrid in Pogba. He's done this with very few players, but the ones he has have found themselves in the Bernabeu pretty quickly.

Reports are that City is planning on moving for Wilshere instead of Sterling.  Not sure if Wenger will sell him... Wilshere been on fire for England national team.

Manchester City officially ended persuit of Sterling and moved on to other targets including Wilshere and Delph after Liverpool rejected £40m bid.  Looks like Sterling will be a Liverpool player in 2015-2016.
