Excellent article and very interesting. It makes WWE seem like an awful place to work because of Vince being Vince...I wonder if any of that will change when Steph eventually takes the reins.

My other takeaway is from the portion where the little girl talks about why she loves Bayley. Is it fair to say she has an appeal that stretches across more demographics than anyone on the roster?

Anyway, I still hate the way they had her attack and stomp Nikki Bella with the rest of the RAW women gang-style. Maybe no one else cares, but I think it's so imperative that they protect and preserve her character. It's so magnetic, and it can make them tons of money in the long run. But it's also very fragile.

Did anyone else see Okada/Omega from WK11? I watched it this morning and was blown away. Tremendous match. I just wish I knew more about Omega's story and rise through NJPW throughout 2016 so I could fully appreciate it.

Every now and then I'm really amazed at the NJPW style compared to WWE. There were several spots in that match that made me cringe, but they just kept going.

Anyway, we get Undertaker and HBK this Monday night. Is Taker announcing his intent to enter the Rumble? Is HBK actually there for more than promoting his movie? Small potatoes compared to the guaranteed instant classic Reigns vs JeriKO handicap match for the US title. Ugh.

Meltzer gave that match 6 stars... out of 5.   But he is such a Japan mark.  But I heard it was amazing but haven't watched it.

Ready for them to get into full WrestleMania mode.  Excited for Bayley vs Charlotte and Sasha vs Nia.  RAW main event scene has been just okay.  Jericho has been amazing and him and KO are hilarious together.

Smackdown has been great across the board

I haven't seen it yet but love Kenny Omega. He is an A+ heel. My favorite character in all of wrestling right now. His finisher is crazy. And yeah, New Japan's strong style and even their Juniors blow away anything WWE's mains do.

Smackdown has been great across the board

Smackdown is head and shoulders better than RAW right now. The feuds are more personal, relatable, and they make logical sense. RAW is just a chore to get through, for the most part. Jericho is great and I love Strowman, but the show as a whole is so stale right now.

I also just abhor Stephanie's on-screen character, and not in a good way. I really think it brings down the quality of the show. At least Vince had a foil almost all the time. Stephanie insults the crowd and fan favorites and never pays for it...but she also wants ratings? Makes no sense. And this hasn't been a great run for Foley.

Agreed. The U.K. tourney started a little slow, but day two was fantastic. The semi finals and finals were hopefully sealed the deal on Pete Dunne getting more opportunities. He's such a great heel who gets genuine heat for just being an overall shithead.

Also, kudos to Michael Cole for possibly the best work of his career those two days. Call this blasphemy, but I'm not so sure even the beloved JR could've called it better. Amazing what happens when you don't have Vince in your ear. This was totally a Triple H production (or so the rumors go), and that makes me very excited for the future.

      Yep. It was an obvious red flag that a lot of people ignored. The results/scores in preseason don’t matter, but individual performance very much does and individually, we looked like the least talented team in the league and it carried over.

      Sorry, but in 2015, we didn’t look like poo to the extent of 2023. People who said it’s just preseason were completely wrong. Simple as that. 2015 was a veteran lead team. It was Cam’s 5th year and Luke’s 4th. Even our OL was 80% the same (added Oher) as the great run to finish 2014 with a playoff win. That year can be labeled as preseason doesn’t matter because I’m sure we rested vets and well, Ron/Mike weren’t putting in special plays, etc. I absolutely don’t recall a bunch of us saying that Turner was getting killed on one on ones or that Luke was completely out of position or that Norman was hurt again but probably fine. The only thing that was right about the 2023 preseason is that the minority of us who saw it, were correct that we A) should have been making Young and others play 100% of the reps as there was nothing to hide and B) the preseason means nothing was a bunch of BS trying to stay optimistic when it was obvious that we had way less good talent than the rest of the NFL.

      You are telling me Paul Maurice is a better coach than Rod??? Yes!!!  It’s because he plays a better system and has a better goalie.   Our system sucks in playoffs and he refuses to roll with Koochie. Dallas cowboys level poo
