Lastly, here's the answer for Question 2:

2)  How many players drafted by the Panthers are on the roster? (this is obviously a subset of players included in the 1st question, since there are no players currently on our roster who were drafted as Panthers, left and returned.)

ANSWER:  23, so 25% of our current roster are Panthers draftees.  That percentage will obviously rise as we cut down to the 53 man roster, and again, at that point it might be interesting to do some comparison across teams to analyze "team cultures" and roster-building strategies  .

Note: if you do the math:  We have 44 "Career Carolina" players on the team, including all the 2015 rookies. 

• 23 are our Panthers draftees
• 21 are UDFAs we've signed. following the draft  (12 from prior years, 9 remaining from 2015).  I'll be eager to look more closely at this number of UDFAs over time and see how we're doing in the Gettleman era with building a good team by finding a lot of UDFA "diamons in the rough."  Right now the data looks promising!

[please remember these numbers are fluctuating a bit with the current training camp roster moves, so the numbers may have just gone up or down by 1 today...]
