Kam Chancellor Agent:No new contract, no Kam

I am always on the athlete's side when he is holding out after being tagged.  I am typically okay with him doing it with one year remaining, especially on his rookie deal and am even fine if they do not sign to the team that drafted him.

I am no siding with the player here though.  He made the choice to sign that extension and asking for a new one with three years left is not something I can defend.

I hope he sits the entire season.  only in his 2nd year of a 5 year deal that made him the 2nd highest paid at his position....screw that.  You signed it, you loved it, now you honor it or you stay home and lose your quarter of a million dollars each week.

and for his sake...I hope he shows the rest of the league what is real attitude is all about.

I know many other players in the past have pulled this kind of poo too...I think the entire league benefits a great deal if the Seahawks hold firm on this and help set the precedent...especially so early into a contract.

At this point I think its too late for the Seahawks to fold now, no matter how terrible they play. If they cave on this, what kind of precedent does it set? Also, I believe their DE Bennett wanted a new contract like Kam but showed up despite not getting a new contract. How could they justify rewarding Chancellor without rewarding Bennett, who by all accounts has done everything the right way?

    • What people fail to understand is Lance had a college career that lasted about as long as teenage boys first intercourse.  To say he was raw was an understatement.  So much so that even a QB whisperer had a difficult time molding him into a polished NFL product on top of multiple nagging injuries.  The dud is in his mid-twenties, finally healthy and little miles on the tread.  Low risk, high reward.  If he's available, it would be stupid not to kick the tires.  It took Darnold and Mayfield to hit their 3rd or 4th team for things to finally click.  This is Lance's 3rd stop, I believe.  It's either time for it to click for him or be relegated to a full time backup. Roll the dice....
    • Wrong.  At least we put a QB sneak in the play book and and add plays over 20 yards.
    • I don’t know if people realize that Evan’s was one of the top TE prospects in college  before having some horrible injuries. I wanna say he had two major injuries in back to back seasons which limited his play and dropped his draft stock.
