<<<<<< Never been to a football game.

But a question that has bugged me for a while.

Me personally would rather watch the game in stunning HD, but of course I've never been.

So my ? is, is it difficult to keep track of the ball if you are in the opposite endzone or very high up??? I could see that the atmosphere is a reason to go.

You could be at the very top of the stadium and still decipher what is going on quite well regardless of where you are. Being that high up aids your perspective. On the other hand, I've sat in the lower level endzone seats before, and yeah, it can be difficult to decipher how far a ball carrier moved, the distance of a pass, etc. if you're on the opposite side.

I've sat at the top before and every seat is a great seat. You don't have as much intimacy as a lower level or bottom of the top level seat but being there live can not be replaced by HDTV no matter how good.

Being there is like nothing else especially if the house is rockin' and the Panthers are rumbling down the field. I don't care WHERE I sit...I just want to be there! It's the best!!

Nope. Can see the play develop pretty good from the endzone's in my opinion. Even from the upper deck.

Yeah, HD is great but it the atmosphere, the crowd, the noise. You just can't get the feeling of the game unless you are actually at the game. You need to go sometime. You will have a whole new appreciation.

One of my first games was when dallas came here. Troy, Emmit, Moose, Irvin and who was there TE then? they all were still playing. I worked a door at a nightclub here in town and got hooked up with press passes with field access. UNBELIEVABLE!!!. the ground literally shakes everytime a play comes your way. Had to keep your head on a swivel on the sideline too. I will say that game changed my mentality about football. Nothing better

    • I’ve rarely ever been more sure of anything than losing out — but how can anyone say with a straight face “Bryce hasn’t improved, but Canales has and he’s masks his flaws”. You have to be so out of touch with reality to put one way above the other when discussing those two.
    • Last night was the classic example of a visiting team just holding on through the wave of emotion a home team has at the start of a big time game. Bama’s first two kickoff returns really set them back as far as playcalling and allowed OU to dictate field position. The emotion of the home crowd fed into what OU was doing at that point, and it felt like Bama would not be able to overcome that.     Once the kickoff returner was told to fair catch every kick, the game shifted, as Bama wasn’t starting each drive inside their own 15. It was then that Bama was able to make some plays, outscoring OU 34-7 the rest of the way.  I think the last 3/4 of the game proves Bama was the better team. OU was just able to ride the initial wave of emotion to a big lead, but Bama held on just enough.  However, had OU blocked the punt on Bama’s second drive and scored a TD (vice a FG on the ensuing drive), things likely would have been different.  Anyway, Roll Tide!
