Hairston with 23 minutes, and another atrocious shooting percentage.

Meanwhile, Frank rides the bench.

Clifford better not last the season if this poo continues.

I agree on Clifford and Frank needing minutes.  And while I agree that Pj's shooting has been atrocious thus far, to his credit, he is most likely playing the best defense of anyone on the team.

I just really am surprised with how bad his shooting has been though because he never seemed like a volume shooter to me through college, he seemed very efficient...  But again, Idk how much I can put on him versus trying to get his before he randomly gets taken out again thanks to Cliff's no rhyme or reason rotations.  Not absolving PJ of what he's done thus far, but I think everything with this team is very cyclical, and to be honest, shot selection and shooting overall is worse than I thought it would be.

But seriously, I know what talent and ability looks like, and this team has enough that they should not be 0-3 right now.  Clifford got a pass the first season because Al played out of his mind, but his weaknesses have shown up again and again.  Furthermore, for him to be a "defensive-minded" coach, I just can't understand how his teams consistently blow their assignments and leave shooters wide open...   It is insane.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think PJ is our only problem obviously.

I don't know if there is a disconnect between Clifford, and Cho, but we didn't draft Kaminsky with the experience he brings to the table to just let him rot on the sideline. That is horseshit to put it mildly.

On another note, a problem that has plagued us for a long time now with Clifford is still happening though, a clear inability to close games.

PJ has been terrible in every aspect these three games. Still don't understand why he is getting minutes over Lamb

I will admit that I haven't seen all 48 minutes of each game, but IMO PJ has played well defensively from what I have seen. Right now though, we need offense, so I agree that Lamb should be getting those minutes.

Perhaps Lamb is still getting his wind back?

    • no doubt but flip that.   The current system insures that there are "regional" games in the early weeks. maximizing the reach of playoff football.  If all of the WC weekend for a conference took place on the west coast they are reducing the "reach" of their hype machine.
    • Hard to say with London--he never ran--combine or pro day.  Here is what AI says, and it is always 100% accurate: Drake London's 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine was not recorded because he was dealing with a fractured ankle at the time. While he didn't participate in the 40 at the Combine or his pro day, his coach said his 40 time was estimated to be between 4.4 and 4.53 seconds. Some sources also list his 40 time at 4.58 and 4.6 seconds Unless you are running 9s all day, top end 40 speed is rarely reached.  I have always looked at the 3-cone drill.  At his pro day, TMac ran a 6.86--pretty good, actually.  For context, it is faster that Rome Odunze (6.88) who ran a 4.45 40.  Odunze is 6'3" and weighs 216, fwiw, and is considered a very good route runner with no wasted motion.  Mike Evans 3-cone was 7.08.  To put it in a broader context, through 2022, with all NFL prospect 3-cone drills combined, a 6.86 puts TMac in the.89th percentile-  Now consider the fact that he is 6'4" and 220.   We might have something here.  '
