I want to talk to you guys about comic books

First of all, wanna throw a shout out to my favorite beer of the year, which I am enjoying right now. If you're lucky enough to live somewhere you can get this delicious brew from asheville, get it. 

We all saw this picture of cam today.

That of course is the emblem of the Green Lantern.

Green Lantern is an interesting super hero.

Now at this point I know what you're thing. "But Electro's Horse, you're a good looking guy who has a great back squat and deadlift. What do YOU know about comics?"

Well, quite a bit.

Green Lantern is not actually a super hero; green lantern's are chosen. For example, here is the ring choosing the greatest hero of the DC universe...

The power of the ring is kinda weird. It gives people the ability to fly, and create projections. Meaning if there are a bunch of dudes, you can create a machine gun to shoot them all or whatever. The actual limitations of the ring are never really defined that well. 

What is defined is what powers it. Namely; willpower. 

What is willpower? the ability to impose your will upon an opponent. 

When the Panthers were tied at the end of the fourth, was there any doubt in your mind that Cam would will them into game winning FG range? When the Panthers needed the drive against the Saints, or the Colts, or the Seahawks...did you really doubt Cam could will it to happen?

Now, I'm not saying Cam is a hella comic book nerd who really knew this. Cam loves to be Superman, a super hero blessed with superior skills who always does the right thing. However, there's tons of those guys in the NFL. maybe he's more a Green Lantern, powered by sheer will power. 

Plus, he knows how to piss off old white guys.
