Wilmington a Top Ten Beer City

everyone knows about Asheville but quietly little Wilmington NC has developed a great Brew Scene.  A friend of mine owns Port City Brew Bus and takes groups on tours to the breweries in ILM with some behind scenes info and, of course, tasting!  Recently our little retail company hired the brew bus for our Christmas office party and I got the chance to speak with these brewery owners.  Really impressive that they are now getting national recognition!

Side story, when the bus came downtown to pick us up at our hotel the driver clipped a Lexus bumper and ripped it off, so we were delayed until paperwork was complete.  Here is a pic I posted on facebook with the comment,

"The bad news is our company Christmas party brewery tour is delayed because our bus hit a parked car.
The good news is it belongs to a Green Bay Packers fan"

Here is a short quote from the story,

7. Wilmington, North Carolina

Wilmington recently welcomed its newest microbrewery to town, with Waterline Brewing Company joining established breweries like Flytrap Brewery and Front Street Brewery. Together, those beer makers rate as some of the best in the U.S. (according to Yelp users). The average Yelp score for Wilmington breweries is 4.44 stars, one the highest scores of the 296 cities that SmartAsset researched.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
