Predictions

Only for the games that we care about:

Panthers/Giants:

Panthers win this comfortably. It won't be a contest in the 4th quarter.

Bucs/Chargers:

Chargers will win this. They have momentum from last game. They have lost most close games this year but winning last weeks game was good for them. Bucs have been playing bad the entire 2nd half of the season. However, they were able to come from behind and win against some of the crappier teams like KC and Detroit. But chargers are atleast average and when bucs fall behind early, there will be not be able comeback.

Falcons/Vikings:

Vikings win this one even without big pat. Matt Ryan is going to have a tough day against that defense. (Although this prediction is my least confident one)

Cowboys/Ravens:

As much as I hate to say it, the boys win this one. Ravens offense is going to have a hard time against their defense.

panthers win....panthers are hot. giants are not. panthers moving on up to the east side, to a deluxe apartment in the sky. meanwhile the giants are a shadow of their former self.

chargers win....chargers on the way up (still won't make the playoffs) and the bucs on the way down. just too likely to happen

vikings win.....falcons are playing solid football but the vikings are hot. they are just hitting their groove, have won 4 in a row, playing at home and tarvaris jackson may be playing to his potential. bad time for the falcons to be going up north.

ravens win.....their defense is just too solid for the cowboys to deal with. it will be a defensive battle that the cowboys will lose in texas. ravens coming into dallas pissed after getting hosed by the refs (that's the way they are seeing it) and they are leading the league in INTs. romo is going to be throwing a few of those and getting frustrated causing a major meltdown on brokeback mountain.

nyg 24

car 27

kasay with a game winner late in the fourth with just over 1 min to play.

We come out and get behind by 10 early then make it a game late in the third by tying the game up, going into the fourth 17 - 17. they score first making it 24-17 then we get an interception that sets up a 15 yard touchdown run by stewart, then kasay kicks the fg to win it.

my prediction. I think the chargers lose to the bucs though.

    • I think you misunderstand what I mean by "significantly better than Bryce Young." That gets you entry into the top 30 NFL starting QB's. Not sure if you have seen that group recently, but it's not a strong one the further down that list you go. Murray is a Tier 3 if not Tier 4 QB in my book.
    • Here is where you are… for purely the sake of arguing with me you are willing to suggest the 2025 Saints RBs might not be better than the 2025 Panthers RBs lol Saints have the 28th ranked rush attack.  We are top 10.   The Saints haven’t had a 100 yard rusher the entire season.  We have seen franchise best performances in a franchise known for running the rock. and see above for what our OL is also clearly better than the Saints.  Hell, Canales being forced into some mashups has often made it even stronger at times
    • I am not saying there isn't truth to that but the economics and reality of the NFL are producing that. It's very hard to justify taking a guy in the 1st round, shelving him for years, having to make a contract extension and THEN hoping it all turns out okay. Not to mention, imagine that scenario after what we traded for Bryce. One thing is for certain, the QB desperation has led to bad 1st round QB picks for 15+ years now. That ain't new.  I think we need to decide on Bryce's future this offseason and we will have to. In my eyes, picking up the 5th year option is the "all-in" move for a two year period. That means you are committed to him in the medium term. Not the move I would personally make.  No matter what the decision is, I have been vocal about needing to bring in multiple QB's to improve that QB room for when Bryce falters again. How about just overall improving your team depth so that when it doesn't pan out, you at least have options on the roster? I don't feel like that is too much to ask and it's a valid bet hedge.
