I didn't consider that we could compromise our top ten pick......ugh if this season has one more kick in the nuts that would definitely be it. Us playing just well enough to miss out on a top tier prospect.

A whole season literally wasted.

The good news though is that the win today in and of itself did not, and it's possible or likely that one more win would not.

Even 2 might not be disaster, although that could easily mean we don't get THE guy we wanted. 3-0 would be a huge disaster considering we are 1 Atlanta win at home vs. SF and 1 Minnesota win at home vs. Indy next week from being 100% eliminated. We may technically be alive, but in essence, we are out of of the playoffs.

I hate to root for a loss, but we are done and picking 6-8 would be so much better than 10-15. If we lose at Washington, we are in good shape draft wise. I don't think we can beat Atlanta in the shape we are in right now.

Indeed, 6-8 to 10-15 is literally a 2nd round pick in trade value.

    • Unfortunately you just can't get through to some of these folks. The most successful season in Panthers history our #1 WR was Ted Ginn Jr who had just as many bone headed drops as he did highlight touchdowns. We already have the highest paid OL in the league two years running. We need a balanced roster more than anything else clearly.

I think it would be like getting two for the price of one really allowing us to feel more holes getting a wide receiver and another spot filled for nothing but two or three draft spots.
    • I saw a mock draft where Monroe Freeling falls to the Panthers at 19 and if that happens they'd better rush their card to the podium.
