asked about thinking about retirement after 2 concussions in 2 years, Luke says he trusts his doctors, will let it get better and appreciate everyone concerned about him, but will get back out there.

told time's up, Luke says he'll take one more question from Joe Person, laughs and says as long as it's a nice one.

Person says I hope it won't upset you, but what did your family think about the concussion?

Kuechly said his parents want what is best for him. "They trust what I have to say and our doctors and coaches say."

so the Luke part is over, and I will say he looked very healthy mentally and physically, and showed a very good control of the press conference, not allowing the reporters to make him talk about things he didn't want to, even when they pushed.

Also smiled a lot, and was his usual charming self.  I really liked the way he handled the media, and he had a bounce in his step.  There was one moment when someone was asking about retirement plans after the 2 concussions and "what people are now saying" (paraphrasing), and he paused, smiled at the guy (Newton?) and said "what do they say?"  Reporter said something about the effects of CTE, and Luke didn't bat an eye and said something to the effect of "people don't know each individual's health situation and shouldn't make judgements.  I trust my doctors."

I hope you can see the clip here.  if you are reading later, look for the tweet around 4:16 pm, and you can see Luke responding to the question.

Takeaways from Luke Kuechly: Ready to play, not interested in discussing actual concussion, possibly a little naive on long-term effects.

fug you Joe.  After 2, with the staff he's working with, he knows a hell of a lot better than you, you smug prick.

person wants to become nationally known for blowing the lid off a player safety issue so he loves pressing players and coaches on the topic.  him and david newton were doing the same poo when cam had his concussion earlier this season.
