I am Brewing for Krafty Draft Brew Pub

After 3 years of all grain home brewing, I will be brewing my first commercial beer. Krafty Draft Brew Pub in Lexington, SC just recently got their license to brew in house. They have brewed about 5 beers now. They tried my Mocha Porter and loved it. They asked me to brew it for them. I will be Brewing on Friday the 17th. It will go on tap about a month later. Pretty excited about it. I never really wanted to do this for a living or anything, but I will enjoy watching a lot of new people drink my beer. If anyone is in the area, you should check this place out. 105 taps and 2 or 3 of them are usually in house brewed beers.

I don't call myself an expert or anything, but if you have any specific questions or anything feel free to ask. Only advice I can give off the jump is, The Devil is in the Details, don't skip steps and don't ever assume something is not that important. Be very meticulous about everything, especially sanitation. I have brewed 24, 10 gallon batches of beer over the last 3 years. I have entered 5 competitions and won 4 ribbons, 2 first place, and a second and a third place.  The guy who taught me was a 3 time 3rd place Brew Master of the year in North and South Carolina. I brew on his system now. He retired and sold it all to me. I love the comradery of Craft Beer and Home Brewing. Something about it brings people together of all different cultures and backgrounds. It's a brotherhood of alcohol, and I can't think of anything much better. Haha

Dude glad I ventured back into this dead forum. My wife and I live in Columbia SC and pretty much hit up the local craft beer scene regularly on the weekends. We were just at Old Mill this past Saturday...had I seen this thread last week we would have stopped in to Krafty Draft.

We will definitely stop by soon.

Cool. Sorry it took so long to reply. Haven't logged in, in a while. The beer sold out in less that 24 hours. We blew the first 5 gallon keg in 2.5 hours. Rest was gone early the next day. I am brewing there again on the 23rd. I am brewing a Grapefruit IPA. It will be ready early June. I will keep you posted as to when it will be ready.

Good deal man. Let me know when it will be on...my wife and I would love to make a trip to give it a try and talk Panthers football with you.

    • Been here a while but rarely post and most of them are smartazz. Mostly lurk just so I can sound informed while hanging out drinking beer in my neighbors garage. Amusingly a Huddle level of knowledge kind of makes you a subject matter expert. Thanks for that.
    • That’s similar as saying MVP Cam is the same as rookie Cam because his mechanics didn’t change. We’re talking about production.
    • In 2025 Sam Darnold had over 1k more passing yards than Bryce Young on 1 less pass attempt. Repeat that to yourself several times and let it sink in. I absolutely love it when people come on here and invoke Sam Darnold like some gotcha. Darnold is the physical prototype for what anyone needs in a franchise QB. All the physical tools. Few people thought he would put it all together on the mental side of the position. He used to make some of the worst decisions you would ever see. At times in the past he made up for that with absurd throws and athleticism. But make no mistake whatsoever no matter how you feel about our starting QB. Bryce Young is a completely opposite conundrum. He lacks virtually any and all physical tools and athleticism and his elite processing is really mediocre at best on a good day and horrific on a bad day. These are realities people should have already been addressing instead of quadrupling down in year four.
