So what is the problem with the Hurricanes. Dont follow them closely but i thought this offseason they made some good pickups.

Unfortunately the oldest team in the league looks it. The Hurricanes are slow and filled with guys that lack confidence. The NHL is a young man's league post-lockout as speed and a nonstop motor will net you chances and/or pp opportunities.

We're stuck with too many old guys that aren't playing well, had some injury issues, and overall just failed to execute. The effort is definitely there, but they held this roster together for one offseason too long. Unlucky really, as a lot of the guys look like they've aged 10 years over the summer.

So now, it's time to get to the trade deadline, sell of as many parts as possible, retain the young core, and use a high draft choice to being rebuilding.

In reality, the Canes could be a playoff contender again as early as next year if they play their cards right.

I'm heading up to see the Islanders on the 28th. College night = Amazing seats for 40 bucks.

Anybody else headed up for any of these?

I'm thinking about going to either/both Montreal and Ottawa. Maybe Florida, but it's so close to the Islanders one.

Well in Charleston so I cant see the games live, but I do have center Ice... with the win tonight against the Senators... thats 2 tuesday night.. then it will be aseason high 3 wins in a row.

Yeah, I'll be there too. I go to all the Collage Night Games with my buddy Josh. I am doing some graphic design work for the Carolina RailHawks, and my payment is in Canes tickets, too. So I've been to quite a few games in the last 2 seasons. It's great!

We're sitting in the upper deck... I gotta say there really aren't any bad seats in the RBC Center... except for when you get a seat that has the plexi-glass seam/edge in your line of sight. But, even that isn't too bad.

Ill be at the blackhawks game next Saturday and the New Jersey game in February. As bad as the canes are I still have a blast going to the games. It would make the drive from charlotte to raleigh and back alot better if they were winning though. Cant wait to see what this team looks like next year when alot of familiar faces will be gone.
