Hurney "isn't sure" he's only interim

The problem everyone has with this is simple.

It's understood that Marty Hurney running the team basically equals Jerry Richardson running the team.

For all his business acumen, intelligence and whatever else you want to credit him with, Richardson has clearly demonstrated that football decision making is not his strong suit.

So basically, bad situation.

We agree here.  I don't think it was that way early in his tenure, but I think it got that way as soon as JR had heart surgery because there was such an abrupt change in the way Hurney did things re: Free Agency and trades.

I don't know if I really care whether or not Hurney is interim, because I think that if he is interim, the next guy will still be somewhat controlled by JR.  I kind of doubt Hurney is going to be here next year, but he may be if they can't find the right yes-man.  

I *do* know that PFT is trash and we shouldn't jump to conclusions based on anything they say. :)
