I was watching the game with a few folks who kept saying, "He's too small" "won't be durable" "can't run between the tackles" - a lot of stuff like that. seeing this run made them start doubting the bullishhhh they were spewing. Made my damn night.

The 'too small' label is way overdone. Payton was CMC's size and had a 13 yr. career, banging away with the best of 'em. He didn't look to run over people, but he was a very durable, up the middle RB.

I think it's a safe prediction that CMC will have very few carries for negative yardage. He doesn't need much to work with to get past the line.

I love the optimism, really. At the risk of repeating myself, he CAN be a very good inside runner. I want him to be a successful inside runner for us. But simply because some extremely talented HOF's and greats of the game were shorter, doesn't mean that CMC is therefore destined for greatness. That's a logical fallacy. And its not just height its build. You can't tell me that Warwick Dunn and CMC are peas in a pod. There's a reason that historically smaller guys are overlooked or drop down draft boards. It's not a coincidence. The NFL is a brutal league.

Bottom line is, he hasn't played a regular season snap yet! I don't feel comfortable making these grand predictions for him until I can be sure of his durability.

Why did Kalil double down on the end allowing the backer and DB to come free? Was that intentional with the play going to the right?

Looks like his assignment was to chip the end and then seal off the back side backer, but the backer blitzed the edge and took himself out of the play so it didn't matter anyways

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
