PTI Question of the day.

Rainwater got it right. It's the same play every time the Panthers run it. They don't mix it up at all. Didn't Smith run it one time? But it is so obvious that they might as well forfeit a down when they want to run a wildcat formation. I really hope I never see it again.

I believe that unless a team is committed to running it regularly, like Miami, it's a gimmick.

It worked when we first did it in Atlanta, and last year for every team that tried, simply because it was new. This year, not many teams are showing much outstanding success with it. Of course, a four yard gain is nothing to sneeze at, but we aren't seeing 20-yard breakaways like we did when it was new.

It was a new wrinkle to the game, but one that was adjusted to by most defenses pretty well. In short, it's just not so complex that it throws an defense into chaos.

Rep if I could....I completely agree. Miami is like the ultimate offense with the "team" concept. It seems like there are a lot of unselfish player making it work. Miami is committed to the Wildcat and now will run it more than ever with Pennington being hurt. I love it because it get's your most talented weapons on the field.

Cowherd did a bit on the Wild Cat yesterday. He made an interesting comparison to Phil Jackson's Triangle Offense and Urban Meyer's Flex at FL. Basically he said that it is odd that basically all the NFL teams have adopted the Wild Cat even though it has had much less success than the Triangle and Flex which are not really being duplicated in their respective sports at all and they have both won championships.

Also said that the reason for this is that the NFL guys are more bandwagon because of the HUGE pension and that they are all just sucking up to the owners for job security.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27
    • Your intelligence is artificial.
    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
