Yeah because one of the mighty midgets can cover the likes of Julio Jones or Mike Evans.

How tall is Darelle Revis? How about Jason Verrett?

Athleticism, technique, study, and especially smarts are what good players (including defensive backs) are made of. Sure size can play a part, but it's not the be-all-end-all.

The "mighty midgets" just may be able to affect Julio and Evans enough to help the team be successful.

Don't be so presumptuous before you even get a sense of exactly what we have.

I think Samuel is more worried than Byrd. Byrd has had to earn his spot every year. He doesn’t expect anything given to him and works his ass off every offseason so having to compete for his job is just another day. He also outplayed Samuel when on the field imho #buttdragswag

Well, that's your opinion, but the fact is that Samuel is simply more talented than Byrd. He is also bigger, stronger, and more versatile. That, as well as simple production in college, are the reasons why he was graded and drafted higher, and is thought of as more valuable than Byrd.

I don’t disagree. But I think this kind of illustrates my point. Samuel is here because of pedigree and potential . He’s protected by plot armor(like Tyrion!). Not that Byrd has done a lot, but he has still done more. This is magnified by the fact that he was never supposed to be here. He wasn’t guaranteed a spot. He played his way onto the team. This is just another offseason for him. He has lost no standing. Samuel on the other hand should be our #2 based on where he was drafted. But I think he’s gone from 2/3 to 4/5 on the depth chart since the end of the season. My two cents.
