Peloton

Anybody?

I picked one up about a month ago because I got sick of the same gym routine for cardio, it’s been pretty f*ckin fun I’m kind of hooked now.

It’s extremely convenient to hop on for a quick 30min ride when your pressed for time, great calorie burn energy expenditure etc etc.

And there are some straight 60min metric climb rides that are absolute crushers.

Pricey piece of equipment/technology but so far worth it.

Its about the same price as it would cost me to take a family of 5 to a NFL game for 4 hours.

perspective.

That's pretty sad...I just felt bad for not having a Peloton in my house now.  I love riding my mountain bike when I have the chance and always wanted a road bike...the peloton looked like something I could enjoy without having to actually hit the road.  Does it have the screen and the different routes per video and can you ride with/against others via software/wifi? How does that work?

Yeah it has a 22” HD Touchscreen. There are about 12 live rides per day of varying difficulty & length. They are instructor based so depending on the ride style they will give a baseline for your bike settings. (but you can go as hard or chill as you want)

Rides are anything from easy 20-30min music based rides to, harder, HITT, Tabata, 60min mountain climbs & metric rides, (keeping a certain speed and resistance for x amount of time heart rate etc (your HRM connects via bluetooth to the bike)

There is a leader board of everyone who’s taking the class in real time, live rides have about 400-600 people in them on avg. All the rides are available as encores and on demand as well.

There are scenic rides were you can just pedal and look at the screen in first person view, from different rides around the world but I haven’t done one.

And they also just came out yesterday with a bunch of none bike workouts, which I haven’t got into yet.

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
