The nickname of undrafted rookie guard Brendan Mahon...

When Brendan Mahon was in high school, he was a heck of a lot bigger than the other kids.

His football teammates gave him a ton of grief because despite his size, he couldn’t grow a speck of facial hair when the rest of the players participated in “No Shave November.” Even the youngest on the team managed some patches of peach fuzz, but there was Mahon, bigger and wider than the rest of them, cheeks as smooth as a baby’s.

So his teammates nicknamed him “Big Baby,” and that stuck throughout his years in college at Penn State.

      I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.

      Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
