Game 1 last night at Tampa Bay:

Tampa played with a majority of veterans and we played with a majority of AHLers and rookies.

Canes looked fast and played hard in a 4-1 victory.

Svechnikov was as advertised and had 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist)

Mrazek looked good in net and stopped all 9 shots that he faced.

 

Game 2 tonight in Raleigh against Tampa Bay.

Canes with a completely different starting lineup and Darling in net.

The 4-1 win was followed up by a nice 6-1 win.

So far all the goalies (Mrazek, Darling, Nedeljkovic, and Booth) looked good.

It was also nice to see Ferland and Hamilton score in their debuts. It’ll be interesting to see who makes the final roster.

Aho, Teravainen, Williams, Staal, Svechnikov, Necas, Ferland, McGinn, Zykov, Martinook, Di Giuseppe (one way contract - 13th forward) are all guaranteed a sport more than likely and with Rask surely headed to IR that leaves two spots open on the forward group.

As for the forwards left, Greg McKegg, Lucas Wallmark, Janne Kuokkanen, and Warren Foegele seem to have stood out the most.

The defense is as strong as ever with Slavin, Hamilton, Faulk, de Haan, Pesce, Van Riemsdyk, and Fleury.

Training camp invitee Michal Cajkovsky has looked good and might earn a spot with Pesce out.

Game 3

Canes 5- Caps 1

Team looking good so far.  PP and PK look good for once.  Svech looks as good as advertised.  Zygov, Ferland, and Martinook are adding the physicality that we missed.  Foegle is giving the effort that we need.  The D is playing great.  Mrazek looks good in goal although not seeing a lot of shots.  However, there still is the problem at C.  Seems that Aho just isn't cut out for C and needs to be placed at wing.  That leaves: Necas, Stall, Martinook.  Wallmark probably makes the team just based on the fact that he plays C.   Still might see a trade for Duschene with Ottawa since Rask is out for a while.

you could try through Seatleafs. they don`t sell tickets themselves but show a comparison of prices from different market places.

try to go through this site to ticketnetwork through them, and then close the tab, sometimes they offer a discount to keep visitors

      Those TDs passes you saw Sunday is what I think you will see bryce at his best. Those touch passes he can lob to receivers over the defenders heads. Long as receivers can get significant separation and bryce does overthrow those passes which we seem him do a lot. He is never gonna be a guy that can throw a laser into a receivers chest with a defender draped on him downfield unless its short pass or within a couple feet from the endzone.

      If teams play us honestly and take that deep stuff away we may be able to operate good enough underneath to counter that. It is about time we started trying to force them to respect it.    But I think people should enjoy the win for two weeks because what’s in front of us doesn’t scream playoffs to me. It would be shocking if we swept TB. They aren’t Atlanta.  And even if we sweep there can be no let down.    I saw the stat of our record coming off a loss. Pretty good. What would it be coming off a win lol? Without looking, it has to at least be pretty upside down  (I count it to be 2-4).

      Win the division from Bucs........BY implodes in the playoff worse than Delhomme and we finally get rid of BY as our QB. Get ready for 2026 with momentum for once.
