Fox the genius...

Why was DeAngelo relegated to 3rd down back status? After scoring 4 tds, he barely touched the ball in the 4th quarter and didn't touch it in overtime. Stewart is a good back but DeAngelo is better, so why the hell wasn't he in there with the game on the line? Fox is really pressing for Stewart to get more carries because he knows that he looks bad for drafting a RB with the 13th pick when he already had a great back.

Also, why the hell did Fox go into conservative mode right when we sniffed field goal range at the end of regulation? We ran three times in a row because Fox was too scared to try and get closer than 50 yards. Ah, you gotta love a coach that tries not to lose the game, instead of going for the win.

I don't agree with the runs either, but I don't think you need to blame Fox so much. He was simply doing what he felt was safest, and he put his faith in the running game and that they would break out.

That (one?) Wildcat play where Williams ran was big but could've been much bigger. It looked like it gained even more yards than it did. By the way, I have no idea if that was the final drive or not, I just felt that it was an important play that went well, but just didn't net enough yards (but my point is that it wasn't the plays fault - in fact, Williams saved that play).

    • I thought he was from watching him play and also doing his first HC job. I thought he was the real deal  Apparently what happened is Kraft committed to Mayo and I don’t remember the timeline exactly - but Vrabel was unemployed at the same time Belichick was unemployed. They both were fired (or out) after the 2023 season.  Kraft hired Mayo. Who was kind of an obvious disaster. He probably already had the deal in place but I will give Kraft credit for not sleeping. With Vrabel out there for 2025 he made the move he needed to make and if it hurt Mayo’s feelings then oh well.  I guess you can tell I am not fond of Kraft but that was a really savvy move. At his age, pretty good. Still has it.
    • It’s going to feel like a home game for the bills. There are so many of their fans that live down here now, and many of them have never seen Allen play in person since their last visit was 8 years ago. It didn’t matter for the cowboys game, but it might here. I think we likely lose a close one. Probably a questionable flag or two that doesn’t go our way. X factor for Buffalo will be Kincaid and Knox. If we do win it’s because we get ahead and play keep away from Allen. FYI- I have many friends who are Bills fans that are fed up with Beane who we all revere and think is the one that got away. They feel like he was great to land Josh but has done a terrible job of building around him (especially at WR) and rely on him to become super man to win- sounds kind of familiar, like the last time we had a franchise QB.
    • I always thought of him as an uptight military family dude, didn't know he needs to wash that mouth out with soap lol.
