A worth-read article on Norv by an Eagles writer/poster

For those who are bored just waiting for game day....

A few typos but pretty impressive and interesting article posted about an hour ago. Basically recaps Norvs’ use of weapons and implementation of these variables in an acclaimed more evolutioned version of the Air Coryell with more spread offense type of additions.

I suspect (hopefully) that Norv is just getting started and further into the seasons we will see offensive calling embracing Cam’s abilities as well as our playmaker’s as the article insinuates.

I mean all fairness Norv is new to some of these things he’s adding to the Carolina playbook. Some are literal new concepts I’ve never seen in his past offenses and it’s fun to see.

I’m sure situationally he’ll be better once he gets settled and gets a better feel for the strengths of this team. And especially when Ron stops putting his hands all over the offense.

Agreed 100%.

But part of me thinks this may take more than just one season to really get Norv familiar with the players and rolling on all cylinders.

And if that’s the case, I feel like that kind of suggests that Rom will be here for at least a couple, if not a few more years.

I’d imagine Tepper isn’t going to give them that kind of time and it’s going to be this year or new staff next year. With JR it was pretty easy to tell the next move but this off-season, success or not will be interesting.

In the meantime for the sake of this offense I hope Norv figures it out sooner rather than later because the offense is looking like it has more potential than any we’ve had in the past 5+ years.

    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
    • Nah we just talking about giving a platform and normalizing predators (who both beat women) opinions and celebrating it if it fits your narrative.  If that's fun I'm fine being a miserable fug by not supporting P.O.S like that. N b4 you call me a libtard or some other dumb ish know I'm an Anarchist/Libertarian and believe both these dudes should get a complete ass whooping (at min) or something worse for what they have done to women in this world.
