Offensive efficiency was close to the same minus the sacks

Passing

Cam 23-29

Big Ben 23-27

Yards per Rush

Panthers 4.3

Steelers 4.6

I feel we panicked early.

After the Cam Pick 6 followed by the 3 and out and them scoring putting us down 14

From 4:35 left through the whole 2nd quarter, CMC had 2 rushing attempts and Samuel had a reverse.  We completely abandoned the run after it really set up our first TD

The 1 main difference in the 2 offenses

We hit the QB twice for 1 sack. (Rushing 2-3 isnt going to get you to the QB

They hit Cam 7 times for 5 sacks (abandoning the run didnt help the pass rush)

Other stat 3rd down efficiency

Panthers 4-11

Steelers 8-11 (rushing 2 on 3rd and 3, TD 10 yards off Switer on 3rd and 4, we were doomed woth the play calling)

They had 10 drives, we had 11

We had the ball 29 min

They had it 30

We only lost the time of possession by ONE minute!  Ron should be happy.

    • Having trouble finding all these articles saying the Raiders withheld information. Here’s the latest from Crosby’s surgeon: ElAttrache told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning that Crosby was "doing very well in the early part of his rehab and recovery from surgery to treat a significant meniscus tear and the related stress injury to the bone and cartilage in his knee. He is certainly on track in his planned program." "We truly respect the work of the Ravens' staff with Maxx regarding the contract physical exam. We also understand the challenge the staff faces when tasked to provide a future risk assessment based on an evaluation early in the recovery process," ElAttrache said. "This is especially challenging when dealing with an elite player like Maxx considering the level of commitment necessary for a team to obtain him. The timing of this assessment is unfortunate because the apparent risk will lessen as his recovery progresses and his return to performance over the next few months becomes clear."     So the Ravens excuse is the future risk assessment based on the physical, not that the Raiders withheld information. They found an excuse to save face publicly. They had the right to cancel the trade for no reason at all, but they’re trying to save face with the most acceptable reasoning they can find. I’ve heard and seen the Ravens getting dragged everywhere for this. You know what would be an easy way to put a stop to that if you’re the Ravens and the Raiders were actually the shady ones withholding information? Just come out and say that you were not given all the medical information. But they aren’t saying that. I guess they’re just taking the bullet for the Raiders just because?    Speculation indeed.
    • Two first round picks for a guy with very questionable knees who will be 29 this summer. Yes it is safe to say the Ravens got cold feet.
    • The salary cap is the reason we got Phillips and Lloyd
