Coaches with Rivera / Turner connections

So far, the only coach we know won't be returning is Receivers Coach Lance Taylor.  But if the Panthers do open up other spots, here are some options.

FYI: I'm looking primarily at Turner guys on the offensive side, Rivera guys on defense. Also of note, many of these are pending contract status with existing teams.

Kirby Wilson, Runningbacks : Was with Norv in both Minnesota and Cleveland; Most recently in Arizona with Wilks before he was fired

Terry Allen, Runningbacks : This one would be a stretch; he played and played well for Turner in Washington but only has a year of coaching experience as an assistant with the Cardinals

Terry Robiskie, Receivers : Norv's receiver coach - later Passing Game Coordinator - back when he coached the Redskins; well respected; recently let go from Buffalo

Charlie Joiner, Receivers: Worked with both Turner and Rivera in San Diego but is 71 years old and retired in 2012

Jerricho Cotchery, Receivers : The easy choice; has a history here and is liked, but isn't experienced

Mike Sullivan, Offensive Line : Worked under Norv in both San Diego and Cleveland; Currently in Tennessee (contract status unknown); very good reputation

George Warhop, Offensive Line : Another two time Turner coach, specifically in San Francisco and Cleveland, but neither stay was very long

Juan Castillo, Offensive Line: Crossing the streams on this one; Castillo is an old Rivera colleague; never worked with Turner but Rivera could potentially stump for him

Ray Brown, Offensive Line: Different kind of crossover here; played for Turner, coached under Rivera; was the Panthers OL Coach till he followed Wilks to Arizona

Rob Chudzinski, Tight Ends: Speaking of guys with connections to both coaches, there's this guy; and he's currently unemployed; maybe...

Tim Spencer, Runningbacks : Rivera colleague from Chicago; never worked with Turner but is known for developing Matt Forte and might be available since his most recent job was in Tampa

Moving over to the defensive side...

Steve Wilks, Secondary / Defensive Coordinator : The most obvious one, of course; I'd prefer him as a DB coach over his being a coordinator but he was Rivera's original DC choice before the Chargers blocked him

Steve Spagnuolo, Secondary / Defensive Coordinator : Rivera colleague with the Eagles; considered one of the best secondary coaches in the league and helped win a Super Bowl as Giants DC

Bob Babich, Linebackers / Defensive Coordinator : Babich was the guy Lovie Smith wanted over Rivera in Chicago, but by all accounts he and Rivera are cool and he's a good defensive coordinator

Al Holcomb, Linebackers : Followed Wilks to Arizona to be his DC; was a favorite of Kuechly when he was here but Kuechly is said to like Steve Russ too

Mike Caldwell, Linebackers : played under Rivera in Philly; played for the Panthers in his final year (as did Jim Harbaugh); held the Assistant Head Coach title in New York before Todd Bowles was fired

Chris Harris, Secondary : Yes, the same one who played for us; he's been coaching in San Diego; would only be available if his contract were up

Perry Fewell, Secondary : Played for Rivera in Chicago but only for a year; currently in Jacksonville; ditto Harris on his contract status; was mentioned as a possibility when Steve WIlks got the DC job

Bobby Babich, Safeties: Bob's son; got his coaching start with Rivera on the Panthers staff as an assistant; currently with the Bills

I'm sure there are names I've missed, but these are the ones that come to mind.

If we got any of Wilson, Robiskie, Sullivan, Castillo, Spagnuolo, Babich or Wilks (DBs, not DC) I'd be pretty well pleased.
