Pro Day Thread

Thought I would start a thread with all of the Pro Days coming up.  Many of they guys didn’t do all the drills at the combine and there are a ton of quality guys not even invited to the combine.

Here is the Walter site that you can follow along with the Pro Days on.

First up my sleeper of the year Devine Ozigbo- RB- Nebraska.

5-11 233lbs.

40 yards dash   4.54  Decent for that size

19 reps bench press

37 in vert- holy cow

10’4” in broad jump- nice explosiveness.

We did meet with him at the E/W Shrine bowl.

That’s impressive as crap except for bench press.  I reallly like his agility on tape for his size.  Just the change of pace kind of guy we need. Also has decent hands.  The other thing I like is that Nebraska ran at times a double option with 2 backs.  Sometimes he got the ball.   Sometimes he was a decoy and sometimes he was a very willing blocker.   I liked when we had CJ in the backfield last year with CMC.  I want to run more of that so teams are not keying in Cam.

He is a one year wonder kind of guy which is why he is under the radar.  He was looking like a round 6 guy before his pro day.  Now maybe a round 5 maybe even 4, but still worth it.

Check out the double option being run at the 1:28 mark.  That would make me a happy man alongside CMC.

Check out the Walter football thread.  Who are the other guys that stand out to you?

    • Lol yeah, he was wide open on the slant for a first down and he's out there running a route that the QB who has been in the system for two years didn't see coming. This is doing the mental gymnastics where the Panthers have to be wrong. He is old, he is dealing with injuries because he has been out of football and other WRs out played him this preseason. As of now, it looks like no one is signing him, so there goes the theory of us regretting it. Every year there is a guy that you all latch on to and he gets released. Before all of his health problems, he was slightly above average and maybe the people who were watching him everyday and evaluating didn't see what you saw. And that was nothing more than him getting open in one on ones and a couple other catches. And you are right he did do something else no one on the 53 did and that was run the wrong route causing confusion and causing an interception. 🤣
    • A Canes man?  A Braves man?  And an ass man?  You are a true man of culture.
    • It honestly sounds like things behind the curtain need to change. Good guys got a look and refused to continue thr process. They need to change up how they manage the team is my take. These guys have had 2 years and still have a losing season lined up with a DC coming off of a historically bad D.
