Well, I feel much better about the Burns pick now

Me too.  I have to admit that since I hadn't watched him play myself, I kind of dismissed him early on when so many here labeled him as not being all that good.  But since he was drafted, I have gone back and done some more research, and I am more of the mind that he can be a very good left tackle.

That fact that Ole Miss was so pass happy and he only gave up 23 pressures makes me excited for what he brings in the passing game.  And on the flip side, it makes sense that his run blocking is considered the area he needs to improve the most.

Usually, when schools are so dominant in one phase, the players don't put as much work in the other aspects.  Coaches tend to put more emphasis on the area the offense focuses on.  As a result, Little probably wasn't coached up as much as he probably should have been in the run game at Mississippi.

I just think with some focused training and general technique work, he can be a special LT for us.

I’m a huge MsState fan so naturally see Ole Miss a ton. Little has always been excellent in pass pro and like you said I don’t think he ever focused much on run blocking. Ole Miss has had trash at RB the past few years and their OC was an air raid guy. I love the Little pick. Anyone who goes up against the DL of MSU, LSU, and Alabama every year and holds his own is good with me

On the flip-side, how come said Miracle Worker could do nothing with Baby Khalil?

My answer?  More often it comes down to the ability and motivation of the player himself.  Regularly depending on "miracles" is a bad plan.

My thinking is that Little has more talent than Khalil.  Listening to his interview I am not worried about motivation.

I had no problem with the Grier pick. I still scratch my head on the Little pick. Very risky. Could pan out though and if it does, Hurney is a damn genius.

That ultra embarrassing fifth round pick clearly shows Hurney is no genius!  It's like he played pin the tale of the donkey of available RB and he got the donkey, talk about unprepared.
