I grew up in St. Louis when the Cardinals and Bidwill were there.  The move I will always remember was when he fired HC Jim Hanifan in 1985.  He did so by having the locks changed to the coach's office during the second half of their season finale.

Not quite as douchebaggy as Irsay moving the Colts in the middle of the night, but yeah...

Wow.

Talk about a bush league move...

Wouldn’t expect any changes with the organization. His son Michael has been the one running things for a long time.

Which is a shame, because they could really use some changes.

(a better GM, for one)

You guys are acting like Arizona has been bad for the last decade. And Kiem isnt that bad of a GM. He has done well since his time there until the last two seasons and now. They fielded some very good teams. The problem was those teams were old. Some guys retired, some were traded and some were not brought back.

All of the things you just cited fall under the responsibility of the GM.

I actually watched a game in his owner's box many years ago in St. Louis. My girlfriend's mother was a college buddy of his.

After the game we spent time in the clubhouse with the front office people and some former players.

We topped the evening off at a private club where all were smashed and playing dice.

There is no point to this story, his death just brought back the memories.

I don’t know why some fans just like to bash other teams for no reason. Hurney isn’t any better than Kiem. Arizona was one of NFL’s hottest team during Kiem’s first three years and they weren’t any bad until last year. I thought they Kiem had a very good draft this year and he basically stole a 2nd round pick from Miami for Rosen.
