Honestly, the only thing I want to see is if Cam still has the juice left in his tank to be the starting QB for this team for the next five years.  Kudos to Allen for stepping in and doing what a good backup QB is supposed to do and keep us competitive for five weeks. I don’t really blame him for today, that was a complete meltdown by the defensive head coach we have. Allen is a backup and can hopefully continue to develop into a good one who may eventually be a good starter in this league.

the NFC is loaded. Someone is going to be left out at 10-6 and we now have losses to two potential playoff teams in San Fran and LA Rams. We will likely lose to Green Bay and Seattle as well which means we likely won’t have any good head to head tie breakers for wild card purposes. That leaves the division. The saints look like a juggernaut and have won their toughest games already. Their schedule is cake the rest of the way through. I’d honestly be shocked if they go any worse than 12-4.

that brings me back to my initial point. The rest of this season is all about Cam. He won’t have any injuries nagging him when he comes back. If he comes back and gets it rolling, there is no qb issue in Carolina. If he comes back and flops, this franchise will be at a transition point in which we will likely fire Rivera and bring in a new coach. Cam will then be given 2020 under a new system and playing for his next contract.

it should be an interesting next nine games.

    • thats fair.   I was beginning to think rookie punter was in the plans
    • Sam Martin   CARPunter#6 Panthers re-signed P Sam Martin to a two-year contract. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Martin’s deal is up to $5 million. Martin joined the Panthers last season on a one-year deal and wound up booting 56 punts for an average of 47.2 yards per punt. Martin is a 13-year vet of the league who has spent time with four different franchises. He landed a career-best 48.2 percent of his kicks inside his opponent’s 20-yard line last season.
    • Surprised CB is that low.  19th is odd spot. For many recent drafts, teams only felt there were around 14 first round players.  So to many 19 is just an early second and doesn't hold the value of a first.  If you go off- the smart path of LT, QB, edge, WR, CB, etc. Whatever your OG, Safety, ILB, etc needs to be a difference maker, that's the key point. I've said the 8th best edge is better than the 1st safety. Same for QB and even WRs. You should 100% factor in position value.  MHS you've been wanting a FS, let me tell you its super difficult to be a difference making FS. You're just sooo farrrr away from the action and the end result most times. If you're in the play, defense made mistakes in order. Now to talk out of both sides, maaaaaann that white boy from Oregon....I thought he crushed the combine and honestly that alone made me rethink "is he worth 19 now?!?!" he's now in the discussion for me, but still below others.    Plus I feel TE is vastly underrated in value terms. But looking at the last 20 years of TEs in the first, its down right bad. You're better like X10 better drafting one in 4th or 5th.
